Charming hotel and nicely decorated rooms with large bathroom. Several sitting areas with patio . Very clean . Loved our stay . On site restaurant was amazing.
The hotel checks all the boxes with amenities - the pool, fitness area, restaurant on site, spa, etc. Rooms are spacious and clean. It’s a bit out of the Palm Springs area and not walkable. The check in experience was a bit odd. At one point we went to the lobby and it smelled of marijuana. At check out there was no one in the lobby but I’m assuming some type of manager in a side office who was on the phone cursing / using the F word over and over again. Eventually I had to peek my head into the office as I was uncomfortable and just wanted to drop the keys off. He ended the call and took my keys. Not very professional.
Rooms and propery are adorable. You can hear guests in rooms next door as if they are in your room. No black out shades and the light coming is blinding. Impossible to sleep in. If they could fix both these issues, I would come back. Otherwise there are plenty of quieter and darker rooms in Palm Springs.
The Paloma Resort is quite new, so it was very quiet, but it has a lot of potential to be a fun Palm Springs area resort. Beautifully decorated, spacious rooms in the PS vibe. Love the pool area! And landscaping is well done. Only one restaurant so options are limited but it has great ambiance and the food and service were very good. They could use a little pastry counter for quick and easy breakfast.
The downsides I experienced: my balcony furniture was filthy - a wipe down would have been appreciated. The kitchenette was handy to have but it had no dishware or flatware so that rendered it a bit useless. The walls were also very thin as I could hear someone snoring and humming in the room over. They could also use blinds or drapes as the sun woke me up very very early each morning.
The area is not really walkable, besides a nearby Target and Trader Joe’s so I’d recommend renting a car.
Overall there are some kinks to be worked out, but The Paloma has huge potential and I’d give it another try.
Beautiful property with outstanding service from every member of the staff: from checking in to the bar and restaurant to meeting the general manager. Enjoyed listening to live music for Sunday brunch.
