It was hot and I was unable to turn on the fan. When I asked about it I was told a previous guest had broken the pull chain but I was not offered any other service to relieve the heat. There was no cover over the room thermostat with the wires exposed. The manager was pleasant but not helpful. In the early evening when I went to the office the manager was screaming at someone over the phone and could be heard from as far away as outside my room, not very pleasant, although he was perfectly polite to me. And although I didn't need it apparently the gas fire couldn't be turned on.

Nice property, poor management

Posted Aug 20, 2015
Pros: Location and rooms.
Cons: When giving guests the password for the wireless internet access, make sure it is printed large enough and dark enough to read.
Location: Beautiful, uncrowded beaches.
Card key was de-magnetized 3 times in a 24 hour period, forcing me to go to the front desk each time to get another key. The key was never next to my cell phone, which was the reason given for it being de-magnetized...plus the fact that nearly everyone has a cell phone, which makes that reason a poor excuse for the key not working repeatedly. If a cell phone de-magnetizes that type of card key, get another key system.

für eine Nacht ganz o.k.

Posted Aug 14, 2015
Joghurt, Bagles, Toast, Teilchen. Kaffee, Saft und Tee. Butter Frischkäse und Marmelade. Im Ort selbst gibt es einen mexikan. Diner und einen kleinen Supermarkt. Zum Strand / Küste läuft man ca. 5 Minuten. Alles in allem war es akzeptabel.

Close to the beach and easy access to town.

Older establishment and worn and dark. Rooms are okay in size but are dark and no a/c.

Improvements needed

Posted Aug 1, 2015
We stayed in a family suite. The decor was very dated some blue walls, some pink, an orange polka-dotted couch, floral curtains it was a hodge podge effort. The glass of the framed art on the wall was broken and taped back together. All of this would be acceptable if the room was comfortable but unfortunately you could feel every spring in the thin mattress on the bed. Between not having air conditioning in the room, very thin walls, and a bad mattress good sleep was hard to come by. All of this being said it is walking distance to the beach and restaurants and the free continental breakfast was decent. It seems they are making some updates to the decor as well because our orange couch was replaced with a modern gray set during our stay. The kitchen added convenience for our family and had a freezer and refrigerator. This is a family run hotel and I think they do their best with the budget they have.

Definitely not as advertising.

Pros: Nothing!
Cons: New Ownership would help or pay attention to the customer. Tell people in advance if something is broken. We paid a lot for nothing.
Location: Great little town. Great beach - hotel is inconvenient.
No air conditioning. Room was dark and dreary, muggy, hot and place was noisy. Tried to turn the ceiling fan on around midnight. Could not find the switch to turn fan on. When we inquired at the desk the following morning we were informed it was broken. They said they would bring a fan. They never did so we checked out. We should have been informed upon check in that the fan was broken and we would never have checked in. The price was daylight robbery for what you get - absolutely outrageous. Continental breakfast is "a light morning meal that is provided by many hotels and motels. It traditionally includes bread products, fruit juice and hot beverage". There was not fruit juice, coffee was a little more than hot water but I suppose the prepackaged rolls passes for a bread products. They have not interest whatsoever in customer service. We checked in to a wonderful little place called the Seaside Inn for half the price of this place - right on the beach!!! not half a mile away as this place is.

Served it's purpose

Posted Jul 21, 2015
Pros: Clean and the people at the front desk were helpful and nice.
Cons: Repaint the wall colors a much lighter color. Improve the internet. It was slow.
Location: We went tide pooling at low tide. Eat at Duckies or the Smoked BBQ place on the Beach walk. Excellent BBQ. Schooners restaurant was just ok.
We just needed a place to stay for the night. It served its purpose. Rooms were clean. Walls were painted dark colors which made the rooms dark, but it was manageable. The only real problem was the person below us kept his TV blaring with his door open late into the night. I did not have the nerve to say anything. He did not look like he would take to kindly to my request. I would recommend taking earplugs and you should be fine.

It was the best 4th of July ever. The managers were very nice and helpful in every way. The room was great and we can't wait till next year. We will be back.

Extremely overpriced for a very old accommodation.

Posted Jul 12, 2015
Eh..... seriously, a bed & a place to be. Nothing was comfortable from chairs to bed. Went to take a soak in bathtub & stopper broken off. Flow through ocean breeze & had to close window as people were having happy hour directly outside of my window. ... at 11:00pm. It was as if uninvited party was directly in my room. Owners apathetic at best. 'Complimentary' breakfast the extreme minimum of choices.
