Staff was rude. People in the parking lot were scary. Room was dirty.

Expected Better

Pros: It was available and the cost was affordable.
Cons: The overall condition of the facility
Location: It was convenient to the First Monday Flea Market.
It was really clean, but in poor repair. The plug did not work where they had the refrigerator was plugged into. There was a dirtdobber nest in the ceiling. The bath tub needed the caulking replaced around the tub it had mold and the vanity had water damage on the bottom and caulking or quarter round needed on the wall bases. The stairs going to the second floor where our room was in was in bad condition.

Pros: we made reservations and had prepaid so we were stuck
Cons: run like an arerican company where someone actually cares about customers
Location: location great
room a dissapointment . had to ask again for non smoking room . Continetal breafast not fit to eat sio we didn"t . no phone contact to front desk .

Very basic, dated facility. Tub didn't drain and NO water pressure @ the sink. Maid service overlooked us and had to call for service after returning to the room.

Understated comfort, pleasant service and value

I was told by the other Hotel in town not to stay here because it had horrible service, and was an awful place in general. On the contrary, I found the clerk and owner super friendly and helpful. Fearing the worse, I opened the door to my room and was instantly overjoyed. The room, although not was super large, with plenty of table space needed for my computers, food, work, and other belongings. The bed sheets and linens were glaringly spotless, and creatively folded into simple designs. I was immediately relaxed and very happy I made the choice to stay at the American Value Inn.

Roach Motel

Roaches everywhere. They gave me bug spray. It was terrible.
