Hotel Average

Posted Oct 30, 2017
Pros: The bed was comfortable and the room clean.
Cons: A complimentary breakfast would be great for this hotel.
This property is situated in a good area but the accommodations are just average. However, the smoke detector was literally hanging from the ceiling.

Wow! A hanging smoke detector is not good. Had we been aware of the situation we would have quickly taken care of it. Although, no Candlewood Suites offer complimentary breakfast we do have a fabulous Candlewood Cupboard where our guests can purchase all sorts of goodies including breakfast items to cook in their very own kitchens that every guest room comes with.

Affordable hotel with good location

We had a queen bed they upgraded to a nicer room. Location is nice and have some good restaurants around. Worth the money paid. You can definitely try.

Good location to Austin.

Posted Sep 10, 2017
Pros: The shower had decent water pressure.
Cons: Get some beds you can actually sleep on; get some decent furniture; let people know in advance that they've been given a room next to some dogs.
Location: It was easy access to the freeway. That was good because we couldn't leave there fast enough.
We will never stay here again. The furniture was mismatched pieces that looked like they came from a garage sale; one beat up recliner we were afraid to touch, one well-worn office chair, one dining table chair that was VERY uncomfortable. The king size bed was "broken", for lack of a better word. One half sloped downward horribly. My husband felt like he was falling out of bed any time he rolled past the middle of the bed. So the king size was more like a double with a rolling hazard. We both "woke up" (weren't able to sleep much) with backaches. We were also woken very early by the dogs in the unit next door, barking and fighting. Vicki, the front desk receptionist, was apologetic but did not offer a discount or anything. She just said she hopes it doesn't effect any future stays with them. I told her there wouldn't BE any future stays from us. Also, when we booked through Expedia, it was advertised as a room with a view and a complimentary breakfast. Our view was the front grill of a worktruck outside the window, and the hotel doesn't even serve breakfast! I was very disappointed with the whole thing, but especially with the false advertising!

My apologies on the furniture. We now have brand new recliners and chairs through out our hotel. I agree! They were in disrepair. The process to get the shiny new ones takes a while. We have been working with Expedia extensively to remove the free breakfast option. That is inaccurate. No Candlewood Suites offer breakfast, but they do have a fantastic Candlewood cupboard where all sorts of goodies can be purchased 24 hours a day.

Our stay very good until the last day ! I couldn't leave my room for "Dogs" in the hall way trying to fight . Lady siting in front off the elevator rubbing and playing with her dogs (2) had to ask her to move her growling and barking dogs to get to the desk to check out !!!.

Hmmm...That sounds like a very unusual experience. I am very sorry you left our hotel with that lasting impression. Our pets are supposed to use the back stairwells for exit and entry. Sounds like a rare occurrence. I hope you will give our property another opportunity to make a better lasting impression.

There was mold in the air conditioner machine. Everything in the room felt sticky. The pillows smelled and the bed was very uncomfortable. Checkin was good and the staff was friendly.
