I Come Here Everytime I'm in Iowa City

It was perfectly clean, the staff was very personable, and they always make it easy to check in/out.

Nice pool area good breakfast, clean!

We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights and enjoyed it very much. The hotel was very comfortable, the staff was nice, the pool area was clean, the breakfast was pretty good too!

This hotel had no hot water at all. No showers for any guests, including those with roomsome reserved for multiple nights. Management was not there. The issue was not resolved, and management did not make it right. Glad we only stayed 1 night. The room was comfortable and breakfast was descent. But no hot water? And management not even there to address the issue?

Hospital overnight

We checked in for a one night stay before my daughter's surgery at the UofI hospital. Great pace to crash!

Nice hotel for over nite stay.

Pros: Near all stores
Cons: Breakfast was dry.
Location: The mall.
The breakfast was OK but eggs was dry out. But had a nice visit.Lady at the desk was friendly and helpful.

Terrible hotel in every way!!

The bed was incredibly uncomfortable and fitted with a plastic/ rubber sheet that made so much noise neither of us could sleep The breakfast was the worst I've encountered To top it all off, the hotel put a $220 hold on my card for a $60 room, even though I'd already paid through hotels.com. When I queried this they said they'd sorted it and they would call me the next day. Guess what? They still took the money for the room and nobody called me! So they've now effectively stolen money from me

Pool room was cold & night staff didn't have keys to adjust thermostat. Room temp was either hot or cold, unable to keep consistent temp. Staff was great and price was good for location

Watch your bill!

Pros: Price
Cons: Cleanliness - breakfast variety - room had dirty walls.
Location: Close to a walgreens and culvers and I80.
Take Note - you will be charged for any people over 1 staying in the room. Also, I booked through Expedia who billed me and then AmericInn billed me as well. I called Expedia and they took care of it promptly. I don't always check my credit card bill that close and am so happy that I caught this!
