"For budget traveler , this place is a steal. Old world charm. Dated elements but strong renovations has been made to the rooms. Maybe the room that was given to me was the fault because I was given a room next to the stairs and can hear the conversation and foot steps of other guests. "

"My wife and I spent seven nights at this lovely guest house. Nice room, we went for the superior which was great. Very nice breakfast, terrace area for outside seating. Small bar for drinks too. TV has some channels in other European languages. Good WiFi. Close to metro station and a couple of handy bus stops to downtown or the coastal suburb of Matosinhos. Can't wait to visit again."

"This is a charming hotel above a gourmet food and wine store. The rooms are extra large and well designed. Hot water and room thermostats worked perfectly The staff is amazing; very friendly and accommodating. They know you by name and greet you when you come in and say goodbye when you leave. The breakfasts are delicious, and you can prepay for breakfast or pay when you come. The location is close enough to the historic center about a 15 minute walk and fast enough away to be very quiet. I highly recommend."

"Great location with several bars and restaurants near by. Porto is small but a lovely charming city and the people everywhere you go and meet are genuinely kind and hospitable. The decor/bedding didn’t look like the first photo. The walls very thin and you could hear other guests talking and It was a bit dated as are many hotels are in Europe (Americans be aware if noise is a priority for you), however the bathroom was marble/updated. strong AC, and internet connection was fast. If you’re remotely working, you can work from the desk or find coffee shops nearby. Great for solo travelers needing simple clean rooms in prime location. Staff was accommodating and helpful. Would come back if I’m traveling solo again "
