9.2/10 Wonderful! (720 reviews)
We had a great two-night stay! The front desk staff provided very precise directions via train to the hotel from our port in Civitavecchia beforehand, so we had no trouble finding Relais de la Poste. The location was excellent and very central. Close to the Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain, and plenty of shopping, restaurants, and beautiful piazzas - perfect for first timers wanting to take as much in as possible in a short time. Just a 30 minute walk to the Colosseum or the Tiber River and St. Peter’s Basilica in the Vatican City. Our room was quiet, clean and comfortable. They offered a self serve breakfast each morning for an additional cost; and had a cold water and ice filling station available for guests to use at any time. The air conditioning in the room worked great which was appreciated during 40 degree heat! The front desk staff were very kind, polite, and helpful, and getting in and out of the building was easy. We enjoyed our stay here, and would book again should we ever find ourselves back in Rome.
