Quality Service and Comfort

Posted Sep 12, 2017
We were greeted with a smile the minute we got to the Kimpon Hotel Monaco. Check in was quick and our room was very nice and colorful and clean. This was a different location in Philly from where I normally stay and will want to stay here again. If anyone is visiting Philly for the first time, this hotel is a must.

Nicely appointed hotel in historic city

Posted Sep 5, 2017
Pros: Style and location
Cons: Room is small, like something you would experience in Europe.
Location: Heart of historic Philadelphia with sites too numerous to mention.
Always a great experience at a Kimpton Hotel. Stylist hotel in a great located, convenient to most historic part of Philadelphia.

The best hotel by far in Old City Philadelphia

Posted Sep 1, 2017
Pros: location, rooftop bar, comfortable bed
Many rooms have a beautiful view of Independence Hall, and you are a block away from Buddhakan restaurant, and two blocks from the fantastic new Museum of the American Revolution. The hotel's decor and furnishings are sumptuous and gorgeous, and the staff does everything to ensure a great stay. Don't skip "Stratus" the rooftop bar.

LoveToGetAway, it's amazing to hear that you had the chance to have a great time at the Monaco AND in the city. I hope you can come back to check out some other aspects of Philly like Independence Beer Garden. Until next time!

Great Location... easy walk to great food & drink

Posted Aug 30, 2017
Pros: Location and upkeep. Great place to stay. Headed back to Philly in a couple of weeks and trying to convince the group to change hotels to stay here.
Cons: Nothing, everything was great.
Location: Bier Garten two blocks away, and the historical aspects and architecture surrounding the hotel are incredible.
Was in PA for a wedding, and the hotel closest to the reception was less than appealing, so wife and I decided to venture into center city and found the Kimpton. My wife traveled in from the West Coast via a red-eye and arrived at the hotel around 7am. She was expecting severe resistance from the hotel staff on getting into our room at such an early hour and was prepared to pay for another night..... the hotel staff checked her in, made sure she got into the room OK, and was just as phenomenal for the entire stay. The hotel was clean and staff extremely friendly. Be sure to check out the roof-top bar/night club. Was a little sketched out over this at first, as our room was on the top floor, but didn't hear music or any bar noises. Good night scene. And the Red Owl Tavern, connected to the hotel was a great find. Be sure to try to the Eggs Benedict. They are served on a Belgium Waffle, which we didn't realize, but was incredible. Some great restaurants within walking distance, and the Bier Garten down the street is a must see.

Patrick! Thank you so much for taking the time to leave some feed back! I hope you all do change hotels and hang out with us again in a few weeks. Did you all get to check out wine hour? If we have a room available in the morning we would always be more than happy to get you checked in and help you get as comfortable as possible. Next time you go to Red Owl Tavern check out lunch, best calamari I've ever had. Until next time.

5 out of 5?! Thank you. It sounds like you got to really explore the block surrounding the hotel that are filled with amazing historical sites. There is always more to see in Philadelphia from the Italian market, Reading Terminal, and Rittenhouse Square so I hope we can welcome you back sooner than later.

Great hotel but avoid the valet parking.

Posted Aug 28, 2017
Pros: The staff.
Cons: The valet fee.
Location: Liberty Bell, the American Revolution Museum and many other historical sites.
Overall, we enjoyed our one night stay at the Kimpton. Great location near the historical sites and a terrific room and staff. However, I doubt we will stay here on future trips to Philadelphia s the ridiculous overnight valet fee is $50. That would be high for NYC let alone Philly. If the Kimpton brings their valet costs back down to earth we may stay there again many times.

Your feedback is greatly appreciated. If you find yourself coming back to Philadelphia and with Kimpton, I wanted to make sure you knew about our Hybrid car discount. If you own a Hybrid parking is half off. There are also neighboring parking lots in the area that are self-parking and not as expensive as the valet prices in the Old city area. We would be more than happy to share other options to make sure you are getting the most bang for your buck.
