Close to downtown, but EXPENSIVE parking

Posted Sep 22, 2017
The hotel staff was unapproachable and I was surprised with how expensive the parking was. The positive part of the hotel was how close it is to everything.

Dear Expedia.com Traveler, Thank you for your feedback. I'm sorry you were unaware of our parking charges. They are however very comparalbe if not lower than the other hotels in the city. Again, I'm sorry you were not made aware prior to your arrival. Regards,

In center city

It would have been perfect if parking wasn't a problem. If you had to park on one of the upper levels it was a long walk down.

Dear Trip Advisor Traveler, Thank you for your feedback. I'm sorry that you were unaware that there are elevators on all levels of the parking garage with the exception of the 2nd level. You should have been made aware of that. Again, my apologies. Regards,

Pros: Classy and great location
Cons: The tub needs refinishing.
Location: Many sightseeing spots are within walking distance.
The staff was INCREDIBLY friendly, helpful and accommodating. The room was comfortable and clean. Room service perfect. The location is perfect for sightseeing. A staff member provided us with restaurants within walking distance with a variety of cuisines and price ranges. Her recommendation was perfect.

Repulsed

Posted Sep 7, 2017
Stayed at this hotel just a few days ago over Labor Day weekend with my small children. Hotel itself is in a very good location, but when we walked into the bathroom in our room we saw red stains that looked like blood splattered on the ceiling and wallpaper right above the towel bar, we were immensely disgusted. We complained and were given the option of switching rooms, to which we accepted. When we got to the new room the bedspread was soiled...I'm kinda confused as to how a Wyndham can operate this way. The staff were apologetic and pleasant and offered us complimentary breakfast but we'd honestly prefer a clean room. Needless to say we will not be coming back...

Dear Laura, Thank you for your feedback. I can understand why you'd be repulsed. What you experienced is absolutely unacceptable. The stain you're referring to is hair dye and not blood. We will be removing the vinyl and replacing it right away. The issue with the duvet in your second room will also be addressed immediately with the housekeeping staff. Again, my apologies. Sincerely,

Great location

Great location to historical sites and trendy restaurants. For that I would recommend for first-timers to Philadelphia and families. Hotel is dated - maybe a 3.5 star.

Loved the Location!

Posted Sep 4, 2017
Pros: Location, Location, Location.
Cons: For some reason, the beverage venting machines were NOT stocked at all. The little front desk "store" wasn't an option because of the wait to purchase
Location: All of the key historical sites are within very close walking distance.
I took a chance on using this hotel as a base of operations for exploring Philadelphia and it couldn't have worked out better. It is perfectly situated and we never felt uncomfortable in the area. It was within walking distance of all of the center city historical sites and conveniences such as restaurants and stores. We even found a rental car agency very close by that we used for a field trip out to Valley Forge (which I highly recommend). I would strongly recommend this hotel for someone embarking on a similar trip to enjoy the history of Philadelphia.
