"Nice hotel, close to everything in Center City"
We had a wonderful time at this hotel, starting at check in. The clerk was very courteous, informative and accommodating. We reserved two rooms, a double bedroom for two teens and a King suite for the adults. Rooms were clean, spacious, exceeded our expectations. The King suite was more than enough room to feel comfortable and relaxed. Safety was not a concern as the key card was required to use the elevators at all times, and required to re-enter the hotel after dark. All staff we encountered were courteous, including front desk, janitorial, housekeeping, security, and restaurant staff. Breakfast buffet will cost about $25 per person, its okay if you want something quick and easy, but for the price, not really worth it. We did not eat dinner onsite, so I cannot vouch for the food quality, etc. Starbucks onsite was a plus, especially since we stayed in winter-time and the weather was cold and rainy. For visitors to the city, you can step out the front or back door to start your Philadelphia experience. The front door leads directly to City Hall, Dilworth Park and the famous LOVE statue, and the subway system (which I thought was more confusing to use than any other subway/trolley/city system I've ever encountered). Out the back door, you can catch the city tour hop on/hop off bus, several restaurants, and the Reading Terminal Market, which is a must see. If you need a taxi, there were always 5 lined up near the back door at the adjacent Marriott hotel.
