In process of being refurbishedPosted Nov 11, 2017
We have stayed in this hotel a few times and have always had a nice room but they are in the process of refurbishing and the room we got was small and a bit shabby (4th floor) but as we were going to the airport the next day which is only about a twenty minute drive away and just wanted somewhere cheap to stay (we were only £32 for the night) we were not that bothered as it was clean. If you are planning to stay there ask when booking if the room has been refurbished. This would not put me off staying as any time before when we stayed it has been good and it is in s good location.

Has good wifi, food is ok but shower is very low. If you are below 5 feet tall you'll fit under it fine. Location is not overly pleasing on the eye but very convenient for the city centre.

Won't come backPosted Sep 15, 2017 on Hotels
Room appeared refurbished which was good but windows don't seem to close correctly so lots of outside noise. Not warned of refurbishment at time of booking - restaurant relocated and poor meal choices, food acceptable but not great. Was woken at 2:00am with what can only be described as a rap party that continued with loud music, people shouting and doors slamming until 05:00am. Sound insulation very poor in hotel.

Evening menu was limited choice and took a long time to appear. Likewise the breakfast range was limited e.g. There were no fried eggs, hash browns or fried bread. These could both result from the use of a temporary dining room on the 4th floor while the kitchen was on the ground floor.

Tired and noisy. Not great location either.Posted Sep 5, 2017
Hotel very tired and needs renovating. This was going on when I was there so no bar or restaurant. Didn't know that before I went. Poor location as next to a rough tower block. Hotel also backs on too busy main road and the sound proofing is awful. Pillows are hard.
Renovations in progressPosted Sep 4, 2017 on Hotels
This hotel should not be open to paying guests, it is under renovation at present. It's a long time since I've slept in a standard double bed in a hotel which classes their rooms as luxury, king or queen would be the norm. Good location just off Union Street, lots of good restaurants around.

Cons: The hot breakfast was cold and dried up
Location: Very close to everything
I arrived late at night very tired and was processed very quickly and settled into my spacious room. The decor was 'heavy' and dark, bathroom was a torrid mix of tiles and wash top but it was clean an had 3 hair driers! Staff were very friendly and efficient and the late check out was a bonus.
