Beautiful Hotel

Posted Oct 31, 2009 on Hotels
Wonderful hotel in gorgeous hillside setting surrounded by vineyards just above the lovely town of Sasbachwalden. Booked hotel to be near Baden-Baden, but really didn't want to leave. The town has wonderful restaurants for dinners and the hotel breakfast was perfect. The enclosed pool is sparkling clean and looks over vineyards. There are showers and a sauna as well. The hotel is absolutley charming and the cleanest hotel we have ever stayed in .... and that is saying a lot coming from the queen of clean!

very restful place to stay

Posted Sep 21, 2007
Apart from one night when the person in the next room decided to 'spend a penny' several times in the night, (lucky this was only one night) the stay was excellent. The hotel has is kept very clean, the room sizes vary and you get what you pay for, the original idea of the place is what the Germans call a 'Wellness' hotel with Sauna, heated indoor swimming pool and additional facilities but at additional cost. The continental breakfast was very good with a good selection of food to choose from. It is a typical German Hotel but the manager does speak good English. The area around the Hotel is very beautiful a real wine producing area with grape vines everywhere, a very peaceful place with the local village Sasbachwalden just down the road. The hotel can be a bit difficult to find but 'Tomtom' found it no problem and the area is very hilly. The area has spectacular views over the Rhine valley, the roads in the area are excellent, but can be narrow in certain places 'off the beacon track' with some very sharp bends. Just be aware of German drivers who tend to travel at 100mph on Autobahns and tailgate you on minor roads.

Quiet Place on the Hill

Posted Nov 29, 2006
We really enjoyed this hotel. It is a small hotel but with benefits of a large chain. Great Sauna, indoor pool. We are a family of three so the room was a little cramped, but still great. Wish we could have stayed longer. Centrally located to get to many places and back within the Black Forest Region.

A great Hotel!

This Hotel was really great. It's a little hard to find, nestled away on the side of a hill, and in the middle of a vinyard...but that makes it great becuase it's secluded. Although it's secluded, it's not too far from the town, shopping, great food and wine. The Hotel is family run but four star quality. Massage services are offered, and the hotel restaurant is high quality. Overall, we were extremely satisfied with our stay, and would reccomend this to anyone who would like to get away into the Black Forest region of Germany.

Entspannend, toll, gerne wieder!
