The hotel is located in Bad Durrheim a spa town on the edge of the Black Forest. The tall pine trees make this location feel that it is in the middle of the forest. One tends to become very mellow listening to wind in the trees.
Lovely hotel in the mountains. Great central location to attractions in the region. Staff were great! Only wished we had could have stayed longer.
It was a very nice place to get away. Definitely has the camp vibe feel because of all the different facilities on the property and the games. But a very nice place to stay in the Black Forest if you are passing through.
Our room was large and comfortable, just as it appeared online. Breakfasts were plentiful and good as were the two dinners we had at the restaurant.
I liked the stay in this hotel every thing was above our expectation
Spent one night here on the way from Italy. I found a bargain on Expedia so I booked straight away. Good quality for the price I paid. Comfy beds ,good breakfast, good dinner. Cons: No air conditioning. Two of the four waitress didn't speak English.
Staff was welcoming and well prepared for our stay! We enjoyed a room with 4 twin beds (one was a roll-away). Best of all was the great selection for breakfast, which included fresh squeezed orange juice and the most delicious Black Forest ham.
We only stayed here for one night due to our tightly packed itinerary, and we loved it. The staff was incredibly friendly (I spoke my best German- which isn't great- and they were very kind when I couldn't fully understand their replies), and our room included a group pass to the waterfall, which ...
Well worth the efffort for a couple of nights even in the wet weather. Most staff are excellent however a few key individuals can be very abrupt and unwilling to assist. That aside, you’ll love it!
We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The room was spacious and clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. And the hotel was in a good location, a short walk from the train station and the center of town on a quiet street. I would stay here again if I'm in the area and I would recommend this hotel to ...
perfect with kids. included early admission to the park. dinner was expensive, so we ate in town.
Very friendly staff. No problems to arrive early, leave the luggage in a storage room and go to the pool. Beautiful quiet rooms and very child friendly restaurant. Lots of ships and fish to look at for the children. Live music during great dinner, especially the deserts! We left the luggage next ...
This could have been a disaster as we had a group of badly behaved children in the rooms surrounding ours and, despite various warnings, they insisted on screaming, slamming doors and making as much noise as possible. Luckily the hotel management managed to find us (a family of four) another suite ...
We arrived at hotel less than an hour before close of check in. Staff stayed up late to wait for us (entire town was asleep). Rooms were quaint but views were amazing.
