Great location. Dining options great . Walkable . Easy access to French Quarter. Concierge helpful. Parking even though a fee was great ..parking staff ✅. The rooms although satisfactory could use an update …. bathroom had an odor not sure if it was a sewer smell the odor was not always present bathroom was clean … shower was great . Beds good .

Staff was genuinely friendly and helpful. Room was decent. Price was the cheapest I could find and the best location right next to French quarter fest. Walls are super thin. I’m talking like cruise ship thin. Only negative was We could hear the neighbors next door late at night.

This place has really gone downhill recently. I stayed here previously in April 2022 and had an excellent stay. It’s in a great location, walkable to the quarter, but removed from the noise and chaos. Room was clean and in great condition and staff were super friendly, and available for anything you might need. So when it came time to revisit New Orleans, I chose to come back here. Unfortunately the room this time was in horrible condition. The area around the AC was moldy, and the thing made constant clanking noises like a loud, ticking clock. It also couldn’t cool below about 70 degrees - fine for April in NoLa, but would be miserable in the summer. There was mold around the upper area of the toilet bowl, indicating it hadn’t been properly scrubbed in a while, and ceiling tiles out of place in the bathroom. The tile grout on the bathroom floor was filthy as well, though shower grout was in good, clean condition. A lot of the issues seemed like maintenance problems stemming from poor management and probably staffing cutbacks (all too common these days.) The staff I interacted with were still very pleasant, but the hotel itself is in shambles compared to what it used to be. Not planning on returning.

We arrived after a Mississippi River cruise at a little before noon, more than 4 hours before check-in time. The room we were scheduled for was not yet ready, but Gary at the front desk found another room that we could get right into. We VERY much appreciated this. The day before we were to check out, we tried to print out our airline boarding passes on the computer there. We asked Derek at the front desk for help, and he printed the passes out for us. We VERY much appreciated this also. So accolades to Gary and Derek.

The hotel was conveniently located and the staff was excellent. My only complaint is that I was double charged for my room. I’m still waiting to see the credit on my card. Valet parking is a little pricey at $53 and some change and that was for one night. Also our air conditioner in our room didn’t seem to cool very well.

Our coffee maker had rust in the water tank and when I went to make a cup of tea, the water was all rusty with pieces in it. I asked for a replacement and they said they couldn't provide one. No coffee or hot water offered in the lobby either. The bathroom was very clean. The restaurant times were limited. Front desk staff men were not friendly. Front desk staff gal was very helpful. Bellman was AWESOME! Very friendly and accommodating.

very friendly staff
I live locally and was going to a parade after-party being held at the casino across the street from the hotel. Because I am heavily involved in the pre-parade activities I needed an early check in. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful, allowing me to check in hours early. The hotel was clean and comfortable. It will be our hotel of choice in the future.

VERY noisy but nice hotel in great location
This is a very nice hotel with good amenities in a terrific location. BUT it was, hands down, the noisiest hotel I've stayed in. Doors slammed nonstop (much louder than we've ever heard before, and we travel a great deal) there were loud conversations by staff outside our rooms fairly early in the morning, and the doors between rooms are apparently so thin that you can hear the conversations by other guests on both sides of your room. It was like staying in an old creaky motel with thin walls. None of this noice was partiers, celebrations, or the kinds of noice the hotel has no control over. On the contrary, the doors slammed as if they were designed to wake everyone on the floor. Housekeeping has no reason to shout to each other from 30 yards apart in the hallway when guests may be sleeping, and the doors in-between rooms should be solid, or at least insulated. A guest in an adjacent room was having an hours-long loud, angry dispute with the hotel management that resulted in screaming, multiple staff visits to her room, and a lot of distress for other guests. At checkout, the management told us we would receive some type of refund, but they never followed through. The breakfast restaurant is nice, the coffee shop is very nice, and the staff was otherwise very helpful. Management should know that noice really matters to many guests, and you may have the nicest amenities in the industry, but if guests cannot get a good night's sleep, then you're not doing it right.

Despite Hilton's commendable customer service and prime location, my stay was deeply overshadowed by its lackluster cleanliness. My stay was most unfortunate. From entry into the poorly mopped floors in the lobby, to the elevators not working. The staff was inconsiderate and unprofessional. At check-in the front desk tried to accommodate me by allowing an early check-in, to find out they had mistakenly given out that same room key to THREE different patrions. I found out by walking into one guess asking staff to throw my personal items out of the room. To then be walked in on by another person with acess to the locked door. For this property to have the "Hilton" brand connected to it is absolutely deplorable and unacceptable. I will not be staying at another Doubletree property. I felt unsafe in knowing who had "access" to my room and the cleanliness of this property sub par.

Mysterious charge appeared on the bill afterwards
The hotel was located in the central location close to everything. The room itself was clean, however, several things didn’t work well, including bathroom faucet (that you can hardly turn), broken dresser handle, missing soap and washcloths, etc. Upon check-out we’re given the receipt with the charges according to the prior agreement, , but when we got home in addition to the charges on the receipt, there was another charge for something that was not communicated to us. There were no purchases of any kind through the hotel. We hope they were not charging us for damage that was already there before we arrived . Beware and make sure you check with them if there are any additional charges before you check out.

Great location. Bar service was great. Customer service lacks in all areas, called room service for towels twice during my week stay for clean towels, after waiting 30 minutes my husband went down and got them himself. Room was never serviced, front desk mentioned staffing issues when I inquired. The room overall was just okay, not worth what they charged. Was not the cleanest, found dog food on the floor in the room and hair in the bathroom upon check in. If you’re looking for somewhere to just stay without the bells and whistles this is it. Don’t expect much from the staff there.

A HOT time in New Orleans
This my husbands birthday trip to New Orleans to see the Saints vs Giants. I booked the Doubletree because of it's location (Directly across from the casino). The check-in was quick and easy. Ethan was very nice and helpful. The room, although small was clean and smelled good. The bed was comfortable and slept well. The bathroom, once again it was small but it was clean. The water pressure in the shower was awesome! The water pressure in the sink was not. What made my stay there just a little unbearable was the AC unit malfunctioning every night we were there. The first 2 nights I had the AC all the way up to 85 degrees and the room was an icebox at 59 degrees. I called Ethan and he sent an Engineer up and they reset the unit and we were able to sleep in some comfort. However, the last 2 nights the room was a HOTBOX! I had the AC down to 65 degrees and the room wouldn't cool off. Once again a call down to Ethan and he quickly dispatched an engineer to our room and they reset the unit and we were able to sleep in some comfort. Oh and 1 more thing, the walls are thin. The people staying in the room next door had some high energy every night for 2-3 hours. Poor lady couldn't get any rest..lol Overall we enjoyed our stay and to answer the question would we stay at this hotel again? The answer would be a resounding.. YES!! Ethan and being across the street from the casino will make us stay there again. Give Ethan a raise!!
