Downtown NOLA Hotel for Sanger theater event

Pros: Location, Proce
Location: On Canal street, so access to French Quarter is there, close to Sanger Theater
Driving in was painful, since St Charles St got closed for Mardi Gras Preparations and the last 4 blocks took 15 minutes, and the drive in /drop off lane is narrow, off common St, but other wise everything went very well. Very friendly bar staff,

Nice hotel but WiFi only free in the lobby

The hotel was overall very clean. The stafff was friendly and helpful. Very convenient location. It was cold out when we visited so we took Uber to most places. Also the location in the Uber or lyft app may either be 611 common street or 614 canal street.

Southern hospitality

Check in was kind courteous and efficient, the front desk staff was very helpful and knowledgeable, however i feel the hotel could use a bit more security for its guests as it appears that anyone may walk into the elevators and go to any floors at any time which is quite alarming. The room was spacious and nicely sized; and the bed, linens and toiletries where great, however the room was a bit dated and could use new wall paper and a fresh paint job, otherwise this is quite a lovely establishment. The only downside was the lack of cleanliness in the bathroom where i found a wad of blond hair on the shower wall, which was hard to see as it was camouflaged with the beige marble walls, but they can certainly use some serious QC in the housekeeping department. I would definitely come back here again as this place is nicely situated in a super conveniently area and the facilities overall where outstanding and functional.

Very clean and the staff is very courteous. I will stay there again when I come to New Orleans. Also located very well, near all the main streets.

Check in was suboptimal. Needed multiple reminders to Put in the infant crib. Otherwise ok, rooms clean and comfortable.

Perfect location!

This was the 2nd time we stayed at this hotel in NOLA. Can’t beat the location. Close to everything. Hotel was clean, and unlike other reviewers, we found the common areas warm. There were some very minor signs of wear and tear, but nothing that detracted from our stay. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

Clean hotel, right on bourbon st

Overall was a great hotel had no issues booking, checking out, getting help. etc The only thing i was not a fan of was the 45 dollars a day for parking its stacks up after a couple of days

Nice location but poor hot water

Cons: More respect to the customers
The hotel is in a nice location and overall clean. However, our experience was not good at all regarding the hot water. The water temperature fluctuates and at times there is not hot water at all. For that reason we missed a dinner reservation since we could not take a shower. We spoke to the manager and they said there was nothing they could do to compensate us with the rate. The morning of the check out I received the paper under the door about no further charges. The next day I received a fraudulent alert from my credit card regarding a charge of $100 from the hotel. This is supposed to be a MARRIOTT. NEVER STAYING AT THIS PLACE AGAIN.
