Old facility but great staff and location

Love the location. It’s only about 10 min walk from Gion. There are lots of shops and restaurants around. But the facility is old. Space is a bit challenging.

Pros: Location and staffs
Overall, hotel is nice and clean. Staffs are helpful and friendly. The location is great with many shops and restaurants around. I led a group of 34 people and everyone enjoy their stay.

Concierge made a mistake booking a shuttle to the airport but took all steps to rectify it. The service is top notch and personalised. Great location for exploring, convenient access to a bus stop and subway.

Great location but that’s about it

For the price - we expected a much better experience. The hotel is old and run down with pretty basic bathrooms. The buffet breakfast worked out great for us with kids and most of the hotel staff were very helpful. I wouldn’t recommend using the taxis from outside the hotel as they tried to rip us off (the only time this happened while visiting Japan). Great location for shopping but disappointing hotel overall.

Good central location

The hotel felt dated, the room was very pokey with little natural night. The bed was very hard indeed and the bathroom did not smell clean. The spa was very expensive and overall it felt like a very average hotel. Staff were pleasant however.

Disappointing.

Pros: Location.
Cons: Standard of accommodation, especially bathrooms, and staff attentiveness.
Location: Shopping / Historical sites.
On a positive note, the hotel location was good. The downsides are, the hotel accomodations are poor, especially the bathrooms. The staff in general lack a genuine interest in customer service.

Location Ok

Room and bathroom are small and very outdated. Towels, sheets and pillows are worn. Housekeeping/cleanliness of the rooms was substandard. If you require a third person in your room, be prepared for a rollaway bed with padding so worn you can feel the springs underneath. This hotel did not compare to other hotels we stayed in on our trip to Japan.

Hotel is very nice and clean. A little more space to walk around the room would be nice. Other than that, it's all good.

Nice hotel close to storesclean linens

Pros: Clean linens, no smell,like your sishiedo face soaprepaint
Cons: Repaint, renovatevery accessible
Location: Very accessible to a lot of resto, just walking distance to church
Convenient, clean will recommend to friends, enjoyed our stay, quiet, comfortable, the beds are firm & supports the back which makes feel rested & gives you good sleep. The housekeeping staff are very good in maintaining the neatness & cleanliness of the room.
