staff could be more helpful. place is great, top hotel, but staff could up their game. maybe 1 staff in 10 are great.

Not 5-star luxury hotel

I usually stay in the Porto Carras marina on a boat, but this summer wanted to try out the hotel. I have stayed at many '5-star' luxury hotels & resorts and this is definitely not a 5-star. First upon entering room the air-conditioning was not working properly and telephone was broken. Repairman came quickly though to replace phone and get air working. Second, the lights blew a fuse twice, having the repairman come 3 times total, and the minibar outer door did not close since minibar was too big for space, so in little hallway you had to walk around it. Also Pull-out couch took 2 days for housekeeping to fold back. Third, they make you pay EXTRA to use the gym & indoor pool!! This is not normal for expensive 5-star luxury hotels, all luxury hotels that I have stayed at throughout the world the gym is part of the high price. Fourthly, no one was there to help with bags upon checkin when I entered. Fifth, Food quality was average to poor. There are many small details that can be done to acheive a truly luxury 5-star hotel experience. For all of these reasons this is not 5-star but more a 4-star hotel bordering on 3-star.

Pros: Il servizio, la camera, il giardino, la spiaggia e la passeggiata al porticciolo con i negozi e i ristoranti.
Cons: Il ristorante il transfer dall'aeroporto
Location: Il porticciolo con la passeggiata e i Yacht aggiunge un fascino particolare all'hotel.
Tutto bellissimo: camere confortevoli e pulite, vista eccellente verso il porticciolo, personale cordiale e pronto per darti le informazioni che necessiti. Unica nota non positiva è il ristorante che poteva essere organizzato meglio. I camerieri, prevalentemente stranieri, tanti in addestramento, cambiavano ogni giorno e non c'era un riferimento. Il servizio non è all'altezza di un albergo di 5 stelle. Il cibo buono, ma non ricco. La spiaggia molto bella e pulita. Gli ombrelloni e i lettini gratuiti, il Beach Bar eccellente. Il mare è trasparente e pulito. Il giardino è favoloso con tante piscine per i piccoli e per i grandi. Fiori, piante e alberi ovunque. La posizione è molto bella, ma lontano dall'aeroporto di Salonicco. Il transfer dall'aeroporto all'albergo è a pagamento (€ 170,00)!

Yiannis Carras would be ashamed.

Porto Carras is an old five star hotel which is partially due for renovation. The A/C was effective in the suite but wasn't working properly throughout the other areas of the hotel (humidity, over-perfumed air in some sections, no AC at all in other), just not right for a five star establishment. Food was also not on a five star level, my daughter found a fly in her dessert. I called for the manager and his reaction was like nothing happened. The coffe was a disaster. Floor Service absolutely untrained for a five star level. The water in the wet bar was dirty as well as in the kids pool. The only good thing about this place is the cerenity of the sorrounding, the spacious garden of the complex and its location. They need to change the management and put more creativity and focus on the customer service, its effectivity and politeness.

Απλα μοναδικο!

Υπεροχο ,ιδιαιτερο ,μοναδικο για τα ελληνικα δεδομενα ξενοδοχειο.Πληρως ανακαινισμενο δωματιο με ολες τις ανεσεις και δωρεαν Wifi.Με το καλωσορισμα 1 μπουκαλι κοκκινο κρασι και καλαθι με φρεσκα φρουτα στο δωματιο.Η παραλια υπεροχη οπως και ολες οι εγκαταστασεις του ξενοδοχειου.Πλουσιο ευρωπαικο πρωινο και δειπνο με live cooking.

Excellent potential, poor execution.

The location, landscape and views are superb and the management knows it. Unfortunately this is where the WOW factor stops as the service level falls flat. There's a noticeable gap between the concept and the delivery. Except for a few individual initiatives, workers lack the experience or motivation to impress and are indifferent to guests' needs. The hotel has definitely seen better days and it shows. You can feel the heritage behind it and enjoy the fact that you are sharing it with many of the celebrities who'd stayed here. With plenty of beautiful beaches around and more hospitable atmosphere, Porto Carras is not good value for money.

Όλα ήταν υπέροχα, ευγενεστατο προσωπικό το μόνο αρνητικό ήταν μια δυσάρεστη μυρωδιά στον 2ο όροφο που μάλλον οφειλόταν στη μοκέτα.
