Good budget motelPosted Aug 23, 2015
The clue is in the name, it is cheap, and you get what you pay for but it was quite adequate and clean. The manager was very helpful, giving us an upgrade to rooms with views for no extra charge as she said we've come all the way from the UK and she wanted us to have a view. The beach is lovely and we enjoyed the Yakima Head park to the north of the town. Breakfast was included and there was a selection of cereals, toast, waffles, bagels and fruit. We went out to Nye Beach to eat (about 15 min walk) where there was an Irish Pub as well as a few other choices.

Cheaper hotel near the beachPosted Aug 3, 2015
Staff was fantastic. Breakfast was ok, not tge greatest but had options. Needs some work in deep cleaning. Walls and upholstery on chairs were pretty dirty. Our curtains missing lining and clios coming off the rod. No A/C which was fine, it was cool outside but every night people smoked in the parking lot and smoke came in our room. Also very noisy since windows needed to be open(vehicles and talking from those in the lot)

NIce hotel, well locatedPosted Jul 28, 2015
Pros: Well located 4 blocks from the beach, maybe 6 - 8 blocks to the harbor and lighthouse, and 10 blocks to the Nye Beach area, and a mile to the aquarium
Cons: With only 3 small tables in the very small breakfast area, it was chaos if more than 4 or 5 people were trying to eat at the same time
Check-in was fine, room was comfortable, breakfast was adequate but very crowded.

Never againPosted Jul 15, 2015
The room was not cleaned. dirt towels haging in the bath room. Cell phone chargers left in plugs fromm other people. Sand and dirt on rug. The veiw of the oceans was between two building, maybe 5', not what was told to us. Talk to the front deck about this issues and no one showed up to look into it or fix problem. Not happy. My wife took pictures to sent to their office.

It is dirty and out datedPosted Jul 13, 2015
I asked for a downstairs unit and got a second floor unit. My (80) year old mother and I had to carry our bags upstairs. The carpet was stained and torn, the bathroom floors were terrible and the bed was lumpy and hard.

Was nice stay!Posted Jun 28, 2015
This place was pretty nice, nothing too extravagant but the rooms are very clean and they had a decent continental breakfast. It's super close to the beach. Lisa the motel Manager was WONDERFUL!!!! My daughter Lililiana really took to her. We really enjoyed our stay. Thank you Lisa, we will be back!

Conveniently locatedPosted Jun 28, 2015
Pros: The location and staff.
Cons: The furnishings/appliances.
Location: The Oregon Coast Aquarium and Yaquina Head Lighthouse. The beach is only for the hardy. It is large, windswept, and chilly even in late June.
An older property, the building was well-maintained. The room was clean and secure. Breakfast was good. The mattress sagged on one side; replacement wouldn't hurt. The TV malfunctioned. Though I could watch it the evening I checked in, it wouldn't turn off until I unplugged it, and it didn't function the following morning. The manager had just begun work there very recently and was probably just getting acquainted with all the quirks. She seems likely to improve the place as she settles in. She was most helpful in recommending a restaurant for dinner. Overall, I was happy with the place for my one-night stopover.

Good valuePosted May 14, 2015 on Hotels
Neither bedside lamp worked, and no clock radio. Included a mini-fridge. Could use a "refresh", but otherwise good value for the money.

Better than a tent, I guess...Posted May 11, 2015 on Hotels
We needed a cheap place to crash for the night and this was it. The room was small, the bed was average for a cheap hotel, but it didn't appear as though the room had been vaccumed or even that the sheets had been cleaned- hairs on the pillow case, not sure if it was from the housekeeping service or a previous guest.
