Relaxing and friendly place to stayPosted Oct 22, 2015
Cons: Maybe updating the rooms a little.
Location: It sits on the harbor of Depoe Bay so there are endless shops, restaurants, and views to be seen. Lincoln City and Newport are very close.
This is a quaint, relaxing, adults only little B & B. The staff, David, Monique, and Taffy do everything they can to make you feel welcome and comfortable. It is the quietest place we have ever stayed. Because it is so small ( 11 rooms) breakfast is a place where you can meet other guests and talk about places to see and experiences to have. The breakfast is not your typical Continental fare, but instead, a cook-to-order hot breakfast such as eggs benedict, omelets, fruit crisps, French toast, waffles, etc. In addition, pastry, some dessert, and coffee are available in the breakfast room day and night in case you get hungry in the middle of the evening. Currently they do not serve lunch or dinner but are talking about adding those meals to their offerings. Breakfast, by the way, is free, no matter what you order. We loved staying here and will definitely be back.

Friendly Hotel, Nice LocationPosted Oct 19, 2015
Pros: Friendly staff. Nice location with good view of the harbor. Very short walk to town and beach but it does include a steep up and down.
Cons: It is an older facility but adequately maintained.
Location: Great view of boat traffic in Depoe Bay. Whale watching in walking distance to downtown Depoe Bay. Walk to Gracie's Sea Hag Food & Grog.
The hotel is more like a B&B than a hotel in my experience. It has a nice location on the back side of Depoe Bay with an excellent view of the harbor and lovely highway bridge. It is an easy walk to the restaurants on the main drag of Depoe Bay. It is not what I would call an Ocean View but has a great view of the harbor and activity of the charter fleet. The staff was extremely friendly. There is a nice common area where guests can mingle and read if so inclined. The breakfast provided was excellent. The office closed at 6pm on the weekend night I arrived in the fall (I arrived prior to that). Other arrangements can be made to get in and register if you don't make it by 6 pm but just be aware it is not a 24/7 operation at the desk so let them know if you will arrive later. But arrive in time to enjoy this friendly place in a lovely little coastal town.

A Hidden GemPosted Sep 11, 2015
Off the main highway down by the harbour the Harbor Lights hotel was a delight to stay in. The room was very comfortable and had a private balcony from which to view the comings and goings of the boats while enjoying your complimentary chocolates and sherry. The hostess provided an excellent full breakfast made to order and some superb home baking for consumption during the day. This place is a culinary treat

CharmingPosted Sep 1, 2015
Pros: See above
Cons: Maybe a screen on the sliding glass door to improve ventilation.
Location: Harbor location, close and convenient to town.
We felt welcome and valued as customers. The hotel is an older home-like hotel and exudes charm, comfort and warmth. It is not fancy, but we preferred its cozy atmosphere to the nicer hotels we have stayed in. Extremely clean and comfortable and decorated in a homey fashion. Loved it and will return again.

Expedia booked us wrongPosted Aug 26, 2015
Pros: Great hotel, great homemade breakfast, quiet.
Cons: Expedia could do some research.
The hotel was a wonderful place with a home made breakfast and quiet atmosphere. The only thing wrong was that Expedia booked us in a queen bed room but it was actually a two twin bed room. The Manager of the hotel told me that this room has been a two twin bed room for many years and they told Expedia this many times. Unfortunately Expedia doesn't tell their customers this.

The proprietors were so wonderful and welcoming. I can't wait to visit again. The room was perfect, beautiful view, and the inn itself was very comfortable! We had a great time celebrating our anniversary here!

Owner was very grouchy, moody, then up beat and friendly.....back to being rude and judgemental. Made the stay uncomfortable and we left feeling very unwelcome!
