Great Hotel in a great location. Very Central.

Pros: Very central, excellent facilities, very helpful staff, great rooms and easy to get to.
Cons: Can't think on anything!
Location: Lots of shops, museums, local attractions and plenty to see. Central location next to Royal Palace and main street Karl Johans Gate easy walk to Fjord
Not our first stay there and would recommend to others. Its central location makes it ideal to explore Oslo with most things in walking distance and with the Tram, Bus and Train services, you can explore and go further out of the city. A 7 day travel pass is ideal which means once paid for you can go where you like 'unlimited'. The hotel is very clean and the rooms are excellent as are the staff. They all go that extra mile to make your stay very pleasant. Great breakfast as well where the choice is virtually unlimited in traditional Norwegian style. Recently re-furbished, has added that extra special touch and perhaps the easiest way to get there if flying into Oslo Gardermoen Airport is by SAS Flybussen. It is not over expensive and the bus drops you off right outside the hotel (its final stop) where you can catch it to go back to the airport. Return ticket recommended and as staying at the SAS Hotel, you get a 25% discount on the ticket price which was 280NK : at the exchange rate we got meant £26 per person. For those who don't mind heights, the view of Oslo from the hotel's Summit Bar on 21st floor is outstanding. One place which is a 'must visit' is the restaurant at Frognorseteren and you can get there by tram to Majorstuen station and then catch a train to the restaurant. It is very old and very big with great food and a fantastic view over Oslo Fjord. It is famous for its hot coco and apple cake but plenty of other choices too. Can't wait until our next trip.

Nice Hotel with excellent Staffs and Breakfast Ser

Pros: The location and breakfast service.
Cons: Cable TV available for all guests.
Location: Good restaurants and places to see nearby.
We stayed at the hotel for 3 nights to celebreate New Year. The hotel offers a excellent service with a calm atmosphere. Childrens like to play at swimming pool and husband loved the Sauna. The breakfast service was amazing with plenty of food variety. What a missed on our room was cable TV but we were able to manage that. I definitely recommend this hotel for a long or short stay and I will think again to stay in one of the Radisson Hotel available on our next destination. Thank you you all and HAPPY 2018!!!!!

My first time in Oslo was fantastic and in large part it was due to this hotel. From the moment I checked in it was a very pleasant experience. Elisabeth was wonderful to chat to while checking in. The location of the hotel makes it extremely easy to walk to all major attractions in any location throughout the city. The breakfast was great and provides an array of nutritious food that will provide anyone with much needed energy for exploring Oslo! The Lagoon area (pool, gym and sauna) was perfect to enjoy after long days exploring the city. The room was very comfortable and I had a great view from the 10th floor. I’d recommended anyone planning a stay in Oslo to stay here! Having the FlyBus making its final stop at the hotel also made it VERY easy to get there and back. Thanks for making my trip a memorable one!

Nice, but expensive for what you get

To be honest, with our experience with traveling/staying in hotels, we were a little disappointed. This is not to say there is anything wrong with the hotel, it is lovely; it’s just that we booked & paid in full 2 months in advance, to recieve a room on the 3rd floor (out of 21 floors). The room itself was small & therefore uncomfortable, with a tiny bathroom that you couldn’t leave anything on the vanity even. My husband, who is an average sized man, had to become a contortionist to get out the shower... We did have a balcony of sorts, which was great. Overall though, I just think we overpaid for what we received.

Pleasant stay but with some logistical issues

Staff was very nice, but they were migrating their key system and were very unorganized in the migration. They gave me the wrong key upon check-in, and I had to go to reception twice more before they issued me the right key. I also had to get a key to the gym three times because they kept giving me gym keys that expired after one day (the gym key used a different system than the room key).

Amazing view from the room on the 16th floor. Very comfortable bed and nice room but the interior was very out of date, but fresh and clean. Great pool and ok gym area. Fantastic breakfast!

poor quality experience

they are doing a lot of road works out side of the hotel, and inside they seem to have decided now is a good time to pull it apart. I am a single businesswoman traveller and I was put in a room where I was next to a large area where people/ workmen could pass. Plus the room was not in great condition. I asked to be changed and was moved to a higher room, which had more recently been done up. Room service menu very, very basic, so went out to a 7 eleven! Breakfast was fine, but as in the whole hotel the level of service was pretty poor. Getting a coffee seemed difficult in the lobby bar - again not enough staff.
