poor quality experience

they are doing a lot of road works out side of the hotel, and inside they seem to have decided now is a good time to pull it apart. I am a single businesswoman traveller and I was put in a room where I was next to a large area where people/ workmen could pass. Plus the room was not in great condition. I asked to be changed and was moved to a higher room, which had more recently been done up. Room service menu very, very basic, so went out to a 7 eleven! Breakfast was fine, but as in the whole hotel the level of service was pretty poor. Getting a coffee seemed difficult in the lobby bar - again not enough staff.

Good city centre location

Pros: location; good rooms.
Cons: Some lights in room not working; we would like to be able to choose a room when booking - prefer those facing the harbour/fjord, which we did'nt get
We have stayed at this hotel before. It is very comfortable, and well located for the upper end of Karl Johan and surrounding area. At present disrupted by extensive tram line works in the street around it. Very good breakfast buffet.

Good Location, clean,

Location: Grab an Oslo pass and use the transit system and see some museums
I expected to be at the Blu at the train station. The one I booked was at the other end the main st about 1 mile from the main train station. The National Theatre metro stop was a 1/2 block away & busses stop right there. After being here I think we were lucky to be here rather than in city center. The room was on the 12th floor and had a decent view. You'll want to be above 5 to get views. We did ask the front desk for a good spot for dinner one night and could never find the spot that was recommended, but that could have been our fault. I'd stay here again.

Big and comfortable rooms with great breakfast

Pros: Big rooms with panoramic window.
Cons: Lobby zone need to be renovated
Location: Hotel located near kings palace garden 20 minutes walk from the station. To the pier about 10 min walk
The hotel is located 20 minutes walk from the station and if you arrive by train it is better to take the tram. To the pier about 10 minutes walk, there is no public transport. There is a shuttle bus to the airport. The rooms are spacious and well equipped. If you are missing something, contact the reception. Beautiful panoramic windows, ask for a room overlooking the harbor. Cleaning in the room was perfect, but in the corridor was dingy. Breakfast is good. Correspond to the declared category of the hotel. The waiters are working well. The building looks gloomy and a bit out-of-date, abandoned. The lobby is being renovated and it looks unpresentable. There may be queues. I can not give the hotel an excellent rating, but it's not bad and maybe I would stop here again.

Wrong Room Assigned to Us

Pros: Not so much. It was not inviting at all. Too many group tours in this hotel. Except, the breakfast has a good selections.
Cons: Organize the room so people will not stumble. Wires at the TV were hanging around, too much black furniture and fixtures. Suggest to use Feng Shui.
Location: The location is nearby the city center for walking distance. If you have a car, there is a parking at the corner of this hotel but NOT free.
My husband and I are travelers and stayed many times in Radisson Blu Hotel. Therefore, we are familiar enough to determine what kind of room we booked and expected it to be the same for the value of money we will be paying. We reserved a business class room and expected a corresponding level of service. When I voiced my concern to the service desk personnel, we were offered another two rooms, none of which were in the same category we booked. I selected one of the rooms which was marginally acceptable, albeit the room is small with queen size bed. Our current room is clearly not what we booked. I am sure the manager or supervisor is aware that the business class room is just across to the left side of our current room. Overall, our stay at this hotel is disappointing and well below the standard we are used to from other Radisson Blu properties. When we checked out, we settled a little bit but our stay in this hotel was not as pleasant and memorable. TIP: Ask what you think is possible because they will not offer it to you at all. They know you are not coming back and all they can say is sorry for what happened!

It was very nice - a very brief stay though. Not particularly quaint or personal but well located and comfortable and clean.

Amazing Hotel, Nice location !

Pros: Rooms, Breakfast, City view , very nice staff, airport bus flybussen located just outside the hotel lobby.
Location: Just a few minutes from the palace and beautiful park. Every attraction is very close.
Modern hotel, very nice staff, big rooms , clean , modern and beautiful room with an amazing view to the city !

Modern well placed hotel

Pros: Location next to Royal Palace and close to tram and metro. Easy walking distance to city centre and water.
Cons: Availabilty of cooked bacon at breakfast buffet!
Location: Royal Palace next door, Viking Museum and Kon-Tiki Museum on Bygdoy island, Vigeland park, fjord cruise
Appropriately furnished modern room with shower-only bathroom. Good breakfast buffet though busy. Did not eat at hotel in the evening. Hotel staff very polite and very helpful - 'Yes I can' policy seems to be working.
