The most wonderful bed...and the bathroom is delicious, with an enormous deep soaking tub and double vanity sinks. I always stay at The Mark when I need to be located uptown. It feels more like a condo than a hotel, because the staff knows everyone.
Situated right on the edge of the city and central park gave us the perfect home base for heading out to explore. The rooms are slightly run down, but you can't beat the views or convenience. Definitely recommend paying slightly more for a view of the park.
Nostalgic, a classic! The experience is a throw back to a more cultured New York . An era that is almost gone & yet The Carlyle nods to this gilded age & is current all in the same !
Hotel is dated and rooms are very small. Towels were clean (smelled fresh) but had stains on them. Overall, it was a pleasant stay.
My wife and I were in New York for a couple of days in July, and stayed, as we have in the past, at the Pierre Hotel. We like the location of the Pierre, and we were treated very nicely.
The room was small but the bathroom ridiculous. Had to sit sideways on the toilet as no leg room to sit forward. Had to squeeze past the toilet to get to the shower. Cruise ships have larger bathrooms, and this was after being moved from a single room to a standard room. Complained about no hot water ...
Well located for shopping, theatre and great restaurants near by. Easy access to Columbus Circle subway station. Great views of Central Park.
