Perfect location to stop on I5

Pros: Easy access from I5. Clean room and nice staff
Easy I5 access and right next to a 24 hour Shari's restaurant. We relaxed, got a really good meal from Shari's had a great night's sleep and hit the road after a hot breakfast. It was perfect. Friendly staff and pet friendly too

I rented online. Our house is being torn apart to get the mold out of the walks, we went down at 7pm to check in. All the hotels in the area are sold out at this point, need to get my boy to sleep who had school the next day. I go up exhausted to check in with my husband and son out in the parking lot, the guy at the counter informs me that they don't rent to locals. I already rented the room though I stated, he doesn't care as I'm starting to cry because all the hotels are booked. We have nowhere to go I said, we will have to sleep in our vehicle. We don't rent to local he said, my husband heard what was going on comes in and grabs me to leave. So we ended up sleeping in our car, when our boy had school the next day. I coukd of found another room but Expedia and Aarp woukd not refund my money for 48 hours, called back in 48 when it was not refunded and they said I never called. So had to wait another two days to get my money back.

I am really sorry to hear about your experience at check in time. Unfortunately we have a strict policy that does not allow locals within a 50miles radius. Due to the high number of incidents in the past with local guests, we had to make the best decision possible and restrict local residents. I hope that you understand and I truly do apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you and your family.

Clean Comfortable Room

Pros: Bed was comfortable room was clean and smelled fresh.
Cons: Have Breakfast until 10 or 11.
The limited interaction I had with the staff was friendly. The room was clean and the bed was VERY comfortable. The only issue I had was breakfast ended at 9am. WAY too early for a Sunday morning. Why have check out at Noon and Breakfast end at 9?

Medford overnight stay.

Enjoyed staying the night at this hotel. It was comfortable and had free breakfast. Close to shops and freeway access.

Forgettable

Pros: Staff, free breakfast
Cons: Cleanliness of room, location, pet fee
Location: Lots of food options, though largely fast food
Hotel is convenient if you need somewhere to stop on a roadtrip - it's close to the highway and not far from food options. But it's right across from a truck fueling station where they run their engines all night. Also, the trash hadn't been emptied from our room. Overall it was fine - staff was nice, pool was small but good. FYI if you're traveling with a pet, you'll get charged a pet fee if you book through any site except La Quinta's website.
