Hotel very close to train. Easy to get to. Staff helpful with information. Close to get to the centre of the attractions. Not far to walk. Room pleasant and quiet.

Mixed bag

Posted Nov 4, 2016 on Hotels
The room we had faced the Main Street and when we opened the window for ventilation (the room was too warm and the cooling function of the aircon didn't seem to work as apparently it was centrally controlled) we had to bear with the traffic noise throughout the night except a few hours. The bathroom ceiling was water stained although everything inside functioned properly. The breakfast room was spacious and the food adequate. The beds were clean and comfy.

Old but decent hotel close to the train station

Posted Oct 1, 2016 on Hotels
Old but decent hotel close to the train station. Room was little small but good for a quick one day trip, close to the train station 5 mins walk also in proximity of the city center. Buffet Breakfast here is very good also.

Good location and Breakfast

This hotel was close to the train station and to the Scrovegni Chapel, but the air conditioning wasn't too good, and the Front Desk staff didn't speak English.

Great location

Posted Jun 1, 2016
This hotel is in a great location in Padua, 5 minutes from the train station and less than 5 minutes to the Scrovegni Chapel which is a must see in Padua. Internet worked well and the included breakfast was great with a good selection of fresh fruits, crossiants, yogurt, coffee, tea, juice, eggs, cereals. Rooms were small but it's Italy so you can't expect anything big.

Convenient and sensible stop in Padua

Great spot, close to train station for visits to Venice, and close to area art and cultural attractions. Very, very kind owners. Would happily stay again.

Lovely and quaint hotel

Posted Oct 30, 2015 on Hotels
Hotel Corso is about a ten minute walk from the train station, right across Trieste Blvd. from a lovely park. The room was fair-sized, but with everything you might want, including TV, armoire, and a very nice, firm, bed. The staff was helpful and friendly, though their English wasn't not as polished as other hotels we stayed in. The bathroom was clean and functional. As with all other hotels in Italy, it had a bidet as well as toilet, The shower was a stall shower. The highlight for me was the breakfast buffet, which had the usual (cheese, wonderful rolls, jam, deli meats, fresh fruit, yoghurt, dry cereals) plus scrambled eggs and cooked sausage. If also had four different kinds of gluten-free biscuits and cereal. As always, the coffee was good. We asked for an early walk-up, and it came on the dot. For the money, the hotel was the best value of our stay in Italy, and Padua is a lovely town to walk through.

Good 3 star hotel in good location

Posted Oct 26, 2015
Pros: Location, comfort and friendly staff.
Location: The Scrovegni Chapel, with Giotto's frescos is on the doorstep, as is the Eremitani Museum, with a good collection of paintings.
Staff very friendly and spoke English. Breakfast excellent - varied and plenty of it. Only 5 mins walk from the station and also from the Scrovegni Chapel. An excellent place to stay using Padua as a centre to reach other parts of the Veneto by train.

Not a 3-star hotel

Posted Oct 9, 2015
Pros: 1. Great location, close to the train station (~5min slow walk), old city begins across the street..... 2. Nice and knowledgeable front staff 3. Breakfast is adequate and in a newly renovated room Cons: 1. Dirty and outdated room; Blue carpet is blue only in the corners, otherwise it is grey everywhere... 2. Mold on the bathroom ceiling. 3. Dirty walls with signs of smeared mosquitoes 4. Miniscule safe where even my small 11" netbook did not fit
