If the owner, or proprietor had been a bit friendlier, we would have enjoyed our stay much more, but he wasn't very sociable, or amenable or particularly pleasant. It's a small hotel without a lounge area, except in th dining room, so guests aren't encouraged to hang around. Indeed the impression we got was that the sooner we were in and out of the front door, without questions, the better. We won't be returning to this hotel next time we go up to Padua, (although the owner did answer our questions in his efficient manner).
The location is ok, about 1 kilometer from the station, but personally I'd prefer a hotel closer to the center of this delightful town. The taxi service is excellent so we were not inconvenienced.
On the plus side, the room we had was nice and quiet, the bathroom facilities were very comfortable, everywhere was clean. The size of the room, which was a triple, was lovely for a few day's stay.
The breakfast at the communal dining table was appetising with lots of choice and in abundance. The TV area in the room was good and not loud, so perfect for catching up on the day's headlines. Nice touch.
We appreciated the free book case of books on our landing. Nice touch!
