Close to the mountain, lots of restaurants

Posted Apr 25, 2017
Pros: Fireplace, hot tub, comfortable beds, usual amenities, great free breakfast, proximity to skiing. Management was very concerned about helping us.
Cons: Soundproofing, minor maintenance, indoor pool area.
Location: Skiing, hiking, bars, restaurants.
First night was a Spring Break party, past 11pm. There were kids running up and down the halls, vomiting and smoking. Someone else had a barking dog down another hall. (Note to self: next time, ask if pets are allowed. I'm allergic. WAsn't a problem in our rooms, but I've had trouble in past) We asked management for help, they talked to the group, but it took a few tries to get the party to stop. The police were called. Not management's fault. But the walls ARE thin. Could hear everything. Balcony next to us also filled with people, next to our window. Management offered to move us, but it was late, so we moved the next day to a quieter spot in the hotel. For our troubles, management also offered us dinner. Spring break kids also toiletpapered the hot tub on Sunday. Note to self: don't vacation on spring break. But tip to hotel: any way to better soundproof the rooms? I could even smell the pot thru the walls. No sound problems in second room. First bathroom had peeling paint on the ceiling. The second bathroom was fine. This hotel could be updated, but it was cozy. Fireplaces in lobby and the bar area, outdoor hot tub in the colder months was nice, with a little fire pit there. indoor Pool didn't seem welcoming, not well lit, and storage stuff near the wall, so we avoided it. Outdoor pool closed for the season. Breakfast was great, including waffle bar, sausages, homemade muffins, good jam, real maple syrup. Nice tea selection, good coffee. Even a free movie theater!

Comfortable stay

Posted Apr 20, 2017
The hotel is close to Killington and all amenities. It has a familiar feeling, like coming home. No pretense, no formality. The staff is courteous, friendly and real. There are many nooks to be found on each floor where families can relax and have private conversations, and the atmosphere and décor were elegant. I will definitely be returning.

Fairly good place, a tad $ for its condition

Posted Apr 16, 2017
Reasonably pleasant hotel with good amenities and services. No complaints just an observation , that the entry area outside and inside could be spiffed up. The asphalt is all cracked and the front doors need either replacement or restoration.

Reasonable lodging down the street from themountai

Posted Apr 13, 2017
We were visiting from california and made a side trip to check out some Vermont Spring skiing. This is a pretty decent place with some nice stone fireplaces which were not on when we went there in mid April. The room is very basic but adequate. Thermostat was not active so we could not turn off the sweltering heat. Handles on windows had been removed so we could not open them more than a crack. No fan was available. The upstairs lounge has some cool games such as janga and connect four. They have a mini movie theater where you can watch free movies with free popcorn. The food available was very minimal as well but adequate for our needs. They did have complementary hot chocolate and coffee all day long as well as a very nice free breakfast including make your own waffles. Our waffle did get stuck to the waffle iron but it still tasted good. If we ever go to Killington again we will probably come here again. On a side note, Killington in April is a joke compared to Mammoth.

Needs room improvements

Posted Apr 3, 2017
Pros: The outdoor jacuzzi was good, but had to be very careful as getting there was slippery and access was through the main hall. Breakfast was included.
Cons: Heating system should be improve, we were freezing in our room, the thin blankets were cheap and did not helpful. Better access to jacuzzi.
Location: Skiing at Killington and Okemo
The location was good, but the room was not well heated or it was not working. The outdoor jacuzzi was amazing, but getting there was dangerously slippery.

Close to the slopes

Posted Mar 21, 2017
Cons: bathroom and breakfast
This was a nice hotel and was close to the mountain. The breakfast was OK but not great. The bed was nice but the overall offerings of the room where basic and outdated, the bathroom was dirty and aged, even the hairdryer was hanging from the wall. That being said the hotel was in a nice spot, the room was spacious, it just needed updating like half of the other ones out there.

nice hotel close to mountain.

Posted Mar 20, 2017
The hotel was nice, the rooms were clean and comfortable. The only issue we had was that the hot tub closed at 10 PM. We had stayed at this hotel three months prior to this last stay, and the hot tub was open 24 hours. It's a nice big hot tub and that was the reason why we went back. but if they don't go back to the 24 hours for the hot tub, we may look for a different hotel close to the ski mountain.

Great location and if you have a pet

Posted Mar 20, 2017
Staff was great, friendly and helpful. Have to admit I was surprised that our room was heat by a space heater. Water from the sink didn't work. Room while was clean clearly needed renovations. The hotel was cool though, great extras for your down time and nice breakfast. So close to the mountain was another huge plus along with allowing pets.

Adequate hotel but disappointing overall

Posted Mar 17, 2017
Pros: Free wifi, 2 great fireplaces, large hot tub and great shuttle to/from Killington Ski Resort
Cons: Rooms were very dated and rough around the edges, pool was dirty and should be closed for renovation, breakfast was ok but the same every day.
Location: Location for skiing is great
We chose the hotel because of its proximity to Killington Ski Resort. The location and the daily shuttle service were great, and as advertised. For the price of the room, we were very disappointed in the appearance and upkeep of the room and some amenities, such as the pool. Room was tired, a little beaten up, including a tub that wouldn't drain, toilet that wouldn't flush properly and a window that was broken and latched shut. The room was adequate at best. It needs a major refresh.
