Great hotel in the centre of Ottawa

Great hotel, reasonable price, everything was perfect. We didn’t know anyone or anything in Ottawa so Expedia helped us to find this place. We loved the room it was clean and big. Great experience over all

Nice hotel, great location...easy walking distance

Pros: Location, price, kitchen facilities
Cons: Better coffee machine...it's too slow to brew
Location: Most of the major things around the parliamentary area are easy walking distance. Bus service is also good for going a bit further like to Gatineau
Great location...didn't need the car for two days. Managed to walk to most things in the Capitsl area. Hotel has all the necessities to make a comfortable stay. Might not be super fancy but clean and comfortable enough. Breakfasts were a nice bonus too and fun to make. Service was great. Desk staff very helpful and friendly.

The air conditioning was not working. The heat was being turned up and we couldn't sleep due to the heat in the hotel room.

Basic and in need of improvements

Price and location of this hotel in Downtown Ottawa was why we chose it. However several items did not work - cold water tap in the kitchenette, kettle, pot handle almost completely off... real risk of breaking when carrying hot items. Breakfast was minimalist in the extreme - coffee, tea, toast, waffles, syrup, and a few items of fruit. It was reasonably priced but not worth even that.

Nice, clean, comfortable but not luxury.

Pros: Able to get a 2 bdrm
Cons: Bathrooms are quite small.
Location: Close to downtown if you don't mind walking. Cheap parking nearby.
Check-in staff was very helpful...kind, professional and efficient.

Rude staff

Im from Montreal, i had to stay at your hotel because i hurt my leg , and i couldnt drive back home. I was in the hospital for 6hours, and very tired . I got in the hotel , standing on 1foot basically because the other icouldnt walk on it, and iwent to the reception to give my confirmation number. The lady and the guy present asked me for the credit card uzed to pay, which i didnt have on me , so they told me that they really needed it for the security deposit. Then it took some time for me to have access to my room , but that was totally fine and i understand that its part of the rules and hotel policy. However, the way they looked at me because i was "jumping around " on 1foot (because of my inury) was really unprofessional. The next morning ,i went downstairs for the breakfast, and the people at reception offered to lend me a wheelchair when they saw i had a difficulty walking. The people working in the morning were much more understanding and helpful than the others. That is what got me to realise the difference in costumer service .

Needs updating

Staff was good, though pushed to clean the room far before the late checkout I was promised. The room itself was clean, though it needed some serious maintenance.
