Stay around the forest visit.

Posted Jul 10, 2017
Pros: Location: very close to the theater, 20-30 min from the airport, not far from the Port. Information about the tours (not used). Staff is great!
Cons: see above
Location: Theater and a lot of events within walking distance. There are shops within 10 min walk. Plaza upfront of the Theater is great on weekends.
Here is why I would not stay here again 1. Internet. I have never ever been annoyed with wifi service to this degree. Needless to say it is super slow, it might be slower than dial in from 90s. They have 2 level login (why???) so the minute you phone goes to sleep you are disconnected! So people who know to call you via Facetime, whatsup or skype are SOLs unless you keep your roaming up. And you have to go through login every time. You can plug your phone in and stop you phone from going to sleep, so you would get extra light). This point alone would be sufficient for me to say never again. 2. Elevators: if wifi is from the 90s of the 20th sentury, I believe elevators might be from the 90s of 19th sentury. And they are hot. Combine it with the top floor and slow and you get the picture. 3. Eating area: Breakfast is ok, not spectacular by Brazil standards. But the room is also hot. There is a big AC in the room, but it must be a cost saving not to run it in the morning. 4. Room is very basic and not really comfortable. There are no chairs (0!!) although there is a desk. So I had to move the bed to the desk to sit and use my laptop. Everything is pretty old. I am not picky about the beds as long as they are clean, so no comment here.

Location great

Posted May 26, 2017
Location: Opera house Downtown water front and market
Hotel was in good location. Bit dated and an update would not go amiss. Pool and gym facilities Staff very helpful. Breakfast buffet and limited. Hope you like scrambled eggs but this seems an Amozonia thing. All in all a very good value hotel.

Near teatro Amazonas, great value for money

Posted Jan 21, 2017
Great breakfast (various hot and cold dishes), close to Teatro Amazonas and tour organizers and restautants, very very reasonable cost. Rooms are extremely clean, no bugs or critters and no "humid" feeling as the A/Cs worked very well. Bath towels a little small but did their job. Minibar water very reasonably priced.

Friendly staff and good location

Posted Nov 21, 2016 on Orbitz
Pros: good location and safe area
Cons: The breakfast. The bread and cakes were a little hard, but coffee and fruit juices great.
Location: The theater built in 1896 in the main plaza is within walking distance.
The staff at Saint Paul hotel were very helpful and polite. The hotel is in a good location just a few blocks from the theater and main plaza.

Comfy Bed and Pillows

Posted Nov 7, 2016
Pros: bed
Cons: restaurant options nearby
Location: walking distance to the water/port.
Room was large, bed was comfy. The pool area was nice, but it seemed like they were always doing maintenance. The included breakfast options were very bare. Not much choice, but at least it's free. The location was ok. Walking distance to the water/port. Restaurant options are limited, but the ones we did find were a good price and the food was good.
