Nice hotel but breakfast selection could be better

Posted Aug 16, 2017
Pool tile cut my sons foot so be careful! Also, the safe did not work in either of the two rooms we had.

MADRID CITY BREAK

Posted Jul 19, 2017
Pros: Pleasant room, and its location.
Cons: no
Location: We wanted to stay in the City, and enjoyed our choice of hotel. Near the bus tours, Metro stations and the Art Museum.
We enjoyed the Hotel stay, room was fine. The weather was HOT, as expected. Coming from Scotland, enjoyed the sun and City sites. One can not do everything in 3 days, we managed to see the main things though.

If you need air conditioning do not stay here

Posted Jul 8, 2017
We had booked three rooms for four people for three nights. When we arrived in the late afternoon rooms were very hot. We were told to wait for them to cool as the a/c is only on when the electronic card key is inserted in a slot inside the room. My friend who had one of the single rooms is 65 years old and demanded her room be changed. It was changed about half an hour after check in. In terms of the rest of us we kept waiting until 2am when we could bear it no longer. Of course in the meantime, they kept telling us they were controlling the temperature from reception and they had set it at 12 degrees C. At 3am the problem had still not been fixed. The following morning I demanded my money back, I just needed to get out of there but did not want to leave my riend. I spoke to the manager on duty and she insisted I take another room which I did. I demanded to be reimbursed for that first night and was assured it would be "taken care of". The a/c was slightly better on this second floor room than on the roof top room but still nothing like a/c works in the USA. When I checked out, I was charged only for two nights so I was no longer angry as they did what they said they would do. To my amazement, three days later I receive a charge for the third night which they had sneakily charged to my credit card. I immediately disputed the charge and it is now being processed. Just when I thought they had attempted to right a wrong I felt ripped off and disrespected. I will never recom

Very convient situated and trendy hotel

Posted Jul 3, 2017
Pros: Location, trendy style and friendly staff
Cons: At first glance hotel looks great, but when taking a closer look the room needed maintenance. Window did not close, doorposts bathroom rotten etc.
Location: Opposite Prada museum and situated in a friendly and vibrant neighborhood.
Excellent place to visit Madrid, close, walking distance, to all main points of interest whilst at the same time situated in a vibrant neighborhood with numerous small bars and local restaurants.

Magnificent Madrid

Posted May 15, 2017 on Hotels
Madrid was excellent and the hotel in an ideal location to explore many of the locations you need to visit. The hotel was ok even if the suite was a little on the small side. We arrived on a Sunday night and there wasn't a lot of staff about which didn't start the visit off well but the next morning, the breakfast was nice with a cooked option available which was very good. The spa / gym was limited in size but ok for a little relaxation. We used room service a couple of times and standard of the food was good. Overall the hotel was reasonable for the price. The city is magnificent and well worth the trip.

Short stroll to the Prado museum

Posted Apr 19, 2017
This hotel is across the street from the Prado and a few blocks from Sofia Reina. The staff is very helpful, nice very quiet rooms and massage is available until 11:00 pm. Lots of good dining and drinking within easy walking. The breakfast is substantial but service in the bar is poor and menu choices very limited.
