This is a very centralized hotel.

Pros: The shower and location!
Cons: The attitude of the front desk staff and their willingness to work with people, especially when one does not get any points for staying there!
Location: The location is great - the Subway is right there, buses, transportation to the domestic airport, and International. No need for the pricy cabs!
I will definitely stay there again, but I know for a fact, because it has happened before, they are very strict when it comes to late check out. This is the only thing bad about this hotel; the staff is not very cooperative and understanding. Also, I noticed that the breakfast is not as rich as it used to be. They are cutting down on things and the variety is not as extensive; however, in terms of centralization and transportation, this is the best place to stay; if staying downtown is what you need. I booked a room for Thanksgiving weekend and I will ask again for a late check out because my flight does not leave until 11:15 PM from GIG. Let's see how willing to work with me they will be!

great to be near the heart of carnival.Metro station a block away,so easy access to Copacabana and Ipanema

This hotel I think should definitely be rated higher than it is. It was a very nice hotel. The room was very modern and clean. Room service was very good. The restaurant was very good. The staff at the front were very helpful. There is security at the front. Air-conditioning was strong. There really is nothing else that you would want. The location is very good for downtown. There's a Metro station very close by. There's a McDonald's and a few restaurants in the vicinity. You are very close to the main square. Excellent job to all the staff.
