Quaint and charming Victorian. A thumbs up!
The hosts were so helpful and friendly. They helped us get our reservations modified for the train ride. The food was wonderful. All in all, I would definitely recommend it!

Charming Hosts at B&B close to Chama Station
We wanted a comfortable and quiet night close to Chama Station for our trip on the Cumbres & Toltec Scenic Railroad and the Parlor Car B&B proved ideal. Our charming hosts made us feel really welcome from the start, going to great pains to ensure that we knew where everything was. Lovely breakfast with an opportunity to meet the other guests.

A wonderful option in Chama
It's hard to say what I liked most about the Parlor Car -- the friendliness, hospitality, comfort, decor, or location. Would definitely stay here again.

B&B a few steps of the Cumbres and Toltec RR
We stayed one night at this B&B. It is an old building that has three guest rooms and a lovely parlor and dining room. Our room was a little small, the bed was very comfortable. We had our own bathroom, but it was next to our room so we had to go into the hallway to get to it. The breakfast was freshly prepared and very delicious. The hosts were very attentive and very charming couple.

Elegant Accommodations, Gracious Hosts
We reserved our stay at the Parlor Car B&B while preparing for a trip on the historic Cumbres & Toltec steam railroad. Shortly after we made our reservation, Wendy, the owner, phoned to ask some additional details so that she could prepare a welcome card and to be sure she could accommodate any food allergies or preferences. When we arrived in Chama at the end of our trip, we were very happy to find the B&B was right across the street from the train station (which normally runs only during the daytime). Wendy greeted us, showed us around her beautiful home, told us some history and answered our questions regarding local restaurants. When we returned from dinner her husband Bondsall, who volunteers as a Docent on the railroad, was home and also welcomed us. We slept very well in the beautifully appointed room, and in the morning, over coffee, Bondsall favored us with several fascinating and entertaining stories about southwest and area history, both directly related to the railroad and of general interest. Breakfast was fabulous, wonderfully prepared and served in 1890s fashion on elegant tableware - it was as though we had gone back in time to the glory days of mining and rail travel. We left reluctantly with good wishes from Wendy and Bondsall, and with freshly baked scones for our travels. We will fondly remember our stay at the Parlor Car B&B in Chama, New Mexico, and hope to return there some day.

Lovely B & B, hosts to match.
Hosts lovely and eager to make our stay the best experience, with delicious food and sharing knowledge of the area. Hostess was very accommodating with any food allergies or preferences. B & B very accessible to train and town. Enjoyable conversation at breakfast with hosts and frequent guests made this stay a 'will repeat experience.' Accommodations very comfortable and additional areas, such as reading room, patio, and basketball area available to guests.

Lovely B&B across the street from the C & TS train
Lovely B&B across the street from the Cumbres & Toltec railroad. We stayed in the first floor Pullman room, which had ensuite bathroom and everything we needed. Delicious full breakfast both days, and delightful hosts. The only drawback was a little bit of noise in the morning (the room adjoined the dining room where breakfast was served). Upstairs rooms would be quieter and more private.

Home from home.
We stayed five nights at the Parlour Car, and by the end it was just like staying with friends. The rooms are really comfortable, plenty of character, so unlike hotel chains or motels. The breakfasts cooked by Wendy were amazing and really really tasty, something different each day and everything home made, included home grown fresh peaches. Wendy and Bonsell could not have done more to make us feel at home - just wish we were going to,visit the area again, as we would certainly be booking to stay.

Perfect location, great service, outstanding staff
Location--right across the street from Chama's premier attraction. Very homey B&B--very nicely renovated features, esp the bathroom. Full of design quirks, books, and historic photographs. Very comfortable. The breakfast part is delightful. Fresh fruit, excellent coffee, and the hosts offer various choices beforehand to know what to prepare and find out beforehand about food allergies Perhaps the most memorable thing is the hosts. Wendy and Bonsall are just delightful. Friendly, accommodating, knowledgeable. They are what make this charming little B&B an extraordinary experience.

This B and B is owned by an elderly couple---very thoughtful, kind, interesting people. The lady explained that she did not have help to prepare our room (dust and so forth). The room itself, albeit crowded, has a beautiful four poster bed and other lovely antique furniture. The private bathroom is located just outside the door, in the hall across from the other guest room. The bathroom is certainly adequate, although in need of some serious attention. Breakfast was home cooked and tasty.

Next to the C&TS Chama Station
Spent three days with Wendy and Bonsal and they make the railroad come alive with their stories. Ask Bonsal to play the piano after breakfast if you have time! Both my wife and I loved the company and will return when we travel on the C&TS

Excellent B&B right across from the train
Loved Wendy and Bonsall. Very gracious hosts. Great food and conversation. Super knowledgeable about the historic steam train whose station is right across the street from the house. Our room/bed was very pleasant, clean and comfortable. Like visiting family.

Lovely B&B in a great location
Our stay was delightful. Wendy and Bonsill are gracious hosts and Wendy is an outstanding cook. Wendy goes out of her way to ensure guests enjoy themselves. It's an easy two block walk to train station from the B&B.The only reason I'm giving four stars instead of five is the lack of air conditioning. Most of the year it wouldn't be a problem but we stayed on a warm weekend.

Great B&B
What a wonderful B&B. The room was very nice and the breakfasts were terrific. The Hosts are very knowledgeable about the town and particularly the Cumbres and Toltec Scenic Railway. They adjust breakfast times to the train schedule so one can be a the station with no rush.
