My go- to- hotel in Madrid!

Firstly, the hotel is convenient to bus tours and everything is 5-10 mins on a bus or cab. Madrid is A walkable city. The airport is 15-20 minutes max. The sevice is incredible and for that alone I would return. It was my mother's birthday and they made sure she felt special. If you love breakfast, I highly recommend that you add breakfast to your stay as it's a great hotel breakfast and the coffee is amazing! They even have a neapresso for guests. Club lounge is also very nice and has an array of drinks and snacks. Great for some down time after a day in the city or just to hangout. Many business men and women were also taking calls while grabbing a snack. Overall, it was an amazing stay and I would highly recommend the Intercontinental.

Excellent hotel and staff

Exceptionally good hotel and excellent staff. Room and all areas clean and tidy. Staff very helpful and nothing is too much trouble. Club lounge was a reasonable size with lots of choice of drinks and nibble, though choice for vegetarians was limited. Located close to lots of restaurants And within walking distance to places of interest. There is a metro stop close by and also a stop for the city tour buses. The room (club room) was nice with a balcony facing the inner side of the hotel with a view of the outer dining area below. The room although clean and tidy did appear to be dated and a little tired. Overall stay was great, would definitely stay here again.

Great Location

Pros: The Concierge Service was superb !
Cons: Rooms can be modernized somehow to include English channels, plugs next to bed, etc.
Location: Santiago Bernabeu; Metro station; IE university
The hotel was very good. The Concierge service was excellent ! The room fit out was a little old fashioned. The bed was soft and there were no plugs next to the bed. The breakfast was on the expensive side - the front desk did not provide any offers (i.e. early bookings, etc.) As a gold IHG members, we did not receive any additional services

Hotel is lovely.Rooms are a bit tired decor wise.

Pros: Concierge.Club lounge. Amazing Sunday brunch buffet.Bar and lounge menu very tasty. Staff friendly and helpful. Beds comfortable.Gym.
Cons: Room decor dull and a bit shabby, could do with an exciting make over. Expensive. Charges rack up.
Location: Near to everything if you take taxis. El Corte Ingles about 5 minutes away for shopping. We went on 2 open bus top tours -Prado museum. Restaurants.
Overall a good experience.Top Marks too the Concierge, he was wonderful.Rooms are a bit tired looking and dull.Beds are really comfortable and their is pillow menu as well.Food is delicious in the lounge bar.If you have access to the Club lounge its a perk-teas and coffees and drinks served all day.Le Jarden restaurant, menu too fussy.House keeping ladies speak no english, which was a bit frustrating.The mini bars are expensive-for example my grown up children had drinks some evenings in my sons room, the mini bar has sensors,so if you pick out a drink to just read the label and put it back, you are charged for that drink.My daughter probably picked up every minature simply to read the labels and find what she liked, we were charged for drinks that were never consumed at all which I was annoyed about. To finish my children and I had a very happy time in Madrid, The Hotel is near to everything, Shopping at El Corte Ingles is 5 minutes away in taxi.Restaurants and nightlife are good. city pretty and very clean,great city break.

Good hotel, central for everything to see.

Concierge was a great help. Laundry and mini bar very expensive, if you pick up a drink just to read the label and put it back you are charged due to sensors. Beds are very comfortable. Breakfast and lunch are very tasty. Sunday brunch buffet is amazing. An expensive stay for 4 of us, including my 3 kids aged 19- 21. Madrid is very pretty and one of the cleanest cities I ever visited. I would advise people to eat out so as not to be charged over the top prices in the hotel. Staff helpful and polite.
