Not 5 star hotel!!!

The rooms are small and tight and can’t even move normally! I cant believe this is a 5 star hotel. The bath tabs and the sink blooked with old dirt and hair!!! The staff are very nice and helpful..

Location was great for my purposes but may be a little away from the center for walking to the tourist attractions. Taxis readily available, however, and the area is a lot less noisy and congested than the center of town.

My go- to- hotel in Madrid!

Firstly, the hotel is convenient to bus tours and everything is 5-10 mins on a bus or cab. Madrid is A walkable city. The airport is 15-20 minutes max. The sevice is incredible and for that alone I would return. It was my mother's birthday and they made sure she felt special. If you love breakfast, I highly recommend that you add breakfast to your stay as it's a great hotel breakfast and the coffee is amazing! They even have a neapresso for guests. Club lounge is also very nice and has an array of drinks and snacks. Great for some down time after a day in the city or just to hangout. Many business men and women were also taking calls while grabbing a snack. Overall, it was an amazing stay and I would highly recommend the Intercontinental.

Excellent hotel and staff

Exceptionally good hotel and excellent staff. Room and all areas clean and tidy. Staff very helpful and nothing is too much trouble. Club lounge was a reasonable size with lots of choice of drinks and nibble, though choice for vegetarians was limited. Located close to lots of restaurants And within walking distance to places of interest. There is a metro stop close by and also a stop for the city tour buses. The room (club room) was nice with a balcony facing the inner side of the hotel with a view of the outer dining area below. The room although clean and tidy did appear to be dated and a little tired. Overall stay was great, would definitely stay here again.

A bit disappointed.

We stayed for a week. Daily cleaning service was very poor, consisting mainly of making bed and light cleaning of the bathrooms. On the third day we had to request a deep cleaning of the room (we are only three, staying in a junior suite and kept it quite neat). Used glasses were not replaced unless requested.
