renovated rooms were excellent

Pros: renovated rooms were excellent - the large walk-in shower was great. Breakfast room & food choice was also good
Cons: communicating the renovation plans before travel
Location: easy drive to Gettysburg
the ground floor was undergoing a full renovation but this did not spoil the stay

Pros: Price and location
Cons: My section of the hotel is under renevation. First room I was given wasn't madeup. Second room was just bairly ready for rental.
Hotel under renevation, not ready to rent. My first room that I was assigned was not made up. Second room was just bairly ready.

Renting a room being renovated?

Pros: Location. It's right off the highway.
Cons: I'd suggest only renting out rooms that are done. Or at the very least, get curtains on the windows before renting.
First, the staff was excellent. Really nice. No issues there. I knew the hotel was being renovated and that's why I got such a cheap price but didn't realize I would be given a room that wasn't done! The shower had no shelves to hold toiletries, so I had to put them on the floor. The window had no curtains at all (sheer or blackout), just a shade, so light got in (plus there was a huge light outside right in front of the window so it was practically daylight with the shade up). There are not enough lights in the room so with the shade drawn, it was dim (but with no sheer curtains I had to shut the shade for privacy). There was a place for a fridge but it wasn't installed yet so I had to throw away my leftovers. The tv was huge, but kept going blurry (quite often). There was no artwork or anything on the walls yet which wasn't a huge problem, it just added to the effect of being undone. And the bedside lights are not on the bedside tables like every other hotel I've stayed at, but are on the wall and were installed too high to reach while lying in bed so you have to sit up to get them. Finally, I pulled out a folded towel from the cabinet and found it had a lot of bright orange cheeto (?) crumbs on it. ?I reached for a second one and it also had cheetos on it. I can tell it will be a beautiful room when they are done but I'm surprised they rented it out in that condition. The toiletries were really good though.

Filthy facility, is under renovations

Left room at 9am, returned at 9 pm, room was never cleaned, wet towels still on bathroom floor. Took 1 hour and 3 calls to fro,t desk to get clean towels. Really didn't want to hear a slew of excuses, just wanted towels. Down hill from there.

Everywhere except the room and the lobby very run down. Pool water clean 1st day, not 2nd day.

Aged but Affordable

Pros: Breakfast and coffee was great every morning.
Cons: Get rid of the smells on 2nd floor halls
Location: The location was great and there was good shopping and restaurants
Affordable but was not informed of all the work going on in The hotel. The Pool was Not in any shape to swim in and rooms and halls had undesirable odor at all times. Bathrooms in poor condition.
