The good: reasonable rate and easy access from motorway. Good restaurant across the carpark. Nice grounds with play park and terrace. The bad: property really needs refreshed. Staff overwhelmed or undertrained. Check in took forever with a lot of confusion over what we had paid via Expedia. We were allocated a room that was already occupied when we entered it. That’s inexcusable. Reception allocated us another room but this experience left us uncomfortable. VIP benefits were not honored.

A need of new front house staff
The hotel was amazing, the location superb, but the reception staff should reconsider their day jobs... After a 6h drive, I'm tired and would like to feel some kind of friendliness, or at least a greeting when i get to the hotel. Instead I was welcomed by a lady who couldn't look up to say hello, no smile, no warmth, no "hope you enjoy your stay"... she was miserable and clearly didn't want to be there... On the checkout, same thing again lady wouldn't say hello, smile, nothing... and then had to wait 30 mins whilst she sorted out a financial issue with another customer. There were 3 of us waiting in a queue, whilst 6 other staff members kept walking in and out, but none would attend to us... Maybe I was unlucky, but the service really shocked me and it's a huge shame, as I don't want to go back to a place where my family and I don't feel welcome...

Die Mitarbeiter waren sehr nett, aber das Preis Leistungsverhältnis passt nicht. Bis auf den wohl renoviertem Frühstücksbereich ist das Hotel sehr angewohnt und das Zimmer war an vielen Stellen kaputt (kein Lampenschirm, aufgerissenes Fensterbrett, lose Regalbretter, überall Flecken auf dem Teppich)

Friendly hotel
The hotel is located in a convenient location for travellers near the highway. There is a shopping quarter across the street with various locations to shop and eat. The staff are the superstars at this hotel. The staff is super friendly and professional. They made the stay welcoming.

Amazing Stay
Big room with aircon, nice swimming pool, nice play area for kids, even arcade games and table football available! The best breakfast I have had in France - amazing variety. Free and secure on site parking, about 10 mins by car to centre of Chambery.

Unfortunately we spent a very short time in the hotel. When we arrived the lift smelt of urine. We had to return to Macot for a forgotten item. The lift smelt cleaner during the night time use. Room was clean but very hard bed.

Ok but not great.
This hotel was just an over night for us so the amenities were not so important as a clean and comfortable room. Unfortunately the carpet was showing signs of age and not so clean, and the bed was not comfortable. Actually for a Best Western this hotel did not pull its weight here. Otherwise, the service and persons working were professional. If you were a women traveling alone, I think you would feel safe here.

Really great and professional show on Friday evening, wonderful crew and friendly atmosphere The only thing which made the experience less than excelleny is the carpet in the room ! which was really dirty, making us walk in the room with shoes
