Eastland Suites used to be our favorite hotel in Urbana, IL because it was sparkling clean, the beds comfortable, quiet and the price is more reasonable than other same class hotels prior to Covid. It appears that it is short of manpower like other service industries after Covid. Over all though it is still a decent hotel. We will still be customers.

It is an inexpensive, comfortable place to stay in Urbana. The property is a little old, but it is well maintained. I've stayed in much more expensive places in town that were not as well maintained.

I am sorry you experienced and issue at our hotel. I do not have a registered complaint for this issue during your stay. The lights in the room are touch lights on the wall. If you experience and issue at our hotel during your stay, please contact the front desk immediately so they can get those issues correct or move you to another room.

The hotel looks like it used to be apartment complex. The room was not very clean never still hair In the tub and it was still dirty. The breakfast was terrible. All in all it's a glorified motel six, not worth the money

We unfolded the sleeper sofa and there was mouse dirt in the bedding. They changed us to a different room and the sleeper had crumbs in that bed. There was a loud party at the hotel. Woman was screaming and yelling and the police had to come.

There was a couple that checked into the hotel and had an issue. Our staff, contacted the police and had them removed to keep them from disturbing other guest. I am sorry it affected you.

Less than expected
The room itself and its amenities were very good. It was the rest of the stay that was disappointing. The hallways are dilapidated. Large and old holes in the carpeting. Checkin was disappointing and painful. No one was at the front at 9 pm. A sign said clerk would return in 15 min. It wasnt that long but uncomfortable waiting when you are tired from a drive and other activities. Although i had printed my reservation the clerk ignored any onformation on it and i had to go through a torturous checkin -- dramatic, but i was tired. Then the eke tronic credit card scanner rejected my card twice and the clerk had to slo-o-wly enter ut by hand. Breakfast a miserable experience. The milk dispenser was working. Gallon jugs of white and chocolate milk were swimming in a washpan filled with ice. The juice dispenser wasnt working. Warm juice in a carafe was set on the counter. The coffee machine wasn't working. The attendant pointed out instant coffee was availble -- he rattled a coffee carafe with instant coffee flakes to make one's own. If one doesnt return the room key card it is charged to your account -- but thexsugn didnt say how much. Ut us u likely this will be first option the next time i stay in the area.

We stay here a lot while traveling to see family. The price is good. It is usually very clean . The beds are comfortable. It’s close to everything.

Decent place
Stay was great we were there for 2 nights... 2nd night they put a couple above us there kids ran around til 1 am stomping n screaming ... we had to get up at 6 am for work

So many things on property were out of order, such as water fountain, ice machine, juice dispenser at breakfast. The fridge in the room was not working. Drainage was very slow in the shower.

The food for breakfast was pretty bad. The food was cold on both days we were there, they did not have drinks, and the coffee dispenser was empty. Staff were very nice behind the desk and the room was fine. Great shower.

Pleasantly Surprised
I've stayed at many Champaign-Urbana hotels when attending Illinois Football home games. Had never stayed at Eastland Suites Hotel before and was pleasantly surprised. Both the grounds and the hotel facilities were clean and well maintained. The hotel serves a good hot breakfast too. I will definitely return on future trips.

Argument right outside our room all night long. Ended with cops showing up in morning. Paint peeling off wall in bathroom. Couch was broke down and old. Over all was clean. Not comfortable.

The owners have great job updating this former motel. The outside might look 1970's but the interior is 2023. Friendly and helpful staff.

This property is quite beautiful and large. Be prepared to use a different entry door than the lobby to access your room. My room was spacious, clean and comfortable. However, the furniture in my room could be easily beautified with a coat of varnish.

Nice stay
We always stay here because its a good price. Its an older motel but kept up pretty good. Its always clean but this time the rug had stains on it. The staff are very friendly. The Indian lady who was a maid and also worked in the breakfast room was especially nice. Forgot her name but it started with a P.

Good just a little older
I had 4 problems which were all fairly minor. 1. I could not find anywhere if breakfast was included,when i went down to breakfast the juice machine was broken. 2. There was no signage pointing to where anything is. 3. Our in room safe ,that we had not touched, made a screeching alarm sound for about 30 sec at 6:30 in the morning 4. When i came in to check in when it was time the clerk was not the friendliest person. The woman who was manning the desk the 1st time i came in when it was too early to check in was fine though.

On arrival, the outside looks like a dump. It looks like an old nursing home or apartment complex turned into a hotel. At check in, the hotel had gave my room away even after it was paid for through Expedia. The male at the front desk tried blamming it on Expedia, but it evident it was their fault. Had it been any longer for 1 night, we would of went elsewhere. The room had cracked tile, smelled and poorly taken care of. There were dirtch socks laying in the halls, there are long term tenants and pets allowed. The breakfast which was "raved" on is disghusting at best. The employees bringing food out, had no gloves, poorly dressed and not very professional. The juice machine was broke, there were 2 gallons of milk in an ice bucket and the "buffet" consisted of nasty scrambled eggs, cold tater tots and rock hard sausage patties. If this place would be properly inspected, my guess is it would be closed. Stay elsewhere and Expedia should cut ties immediately

We checked in Friday PM. Left for the day Saturday expecting housecleaning. Didn’t happen. Very low on toilet paper. We had to ask for someone to deliver two rolls at 11 PM. Ridiculous !

Great for visiting U of I / CU!
This is a convenient stay, not in the middle of the university crowd but close enough if you’re there for campus activities. Our room was clean (cleanest hotel bathroom I’ve encountered in some time!) and spacious. Room rates were reasonable, even with a home football game. They also have a football game day shuttle to and from their property which is great if you want to skip the hassles and expense if parking on campus. Will stay here again when we’re back for U of I activities!
