Nice hotel close to all needs

Posted Feb 28, 2017
The staff was amazing. The only issue I had was the wifi not working. The staff was very prompt to getting it fixed quickly. The only issue in the room was the lighting above the vanity and sink! Light is very poor and in need of update! Just had a regular ceiling fixture with low bulbs ! Made it hard to put contacts in and use makeup

Charming Hotel

Pros: The night clerk was excellent.
Cons: Could update bath facilities.
Location: Satisfactory.
In town for a funeral. Overall, hotel was satisfactory. Internet service left something to be desired.

It was very cold outside, but he had the room heated before I checked in.

Just like home

Posted Dec 11, 2016
It was a nice place to stay. Nothing fancy, just like home or maybe staying at grandma's house.

Nice for the money

Posted Dec 5, 2016
A clean motel with no frills, I have stayed there before - the staff is always friendly. Breakfast is enough to get you going, nothing fancy. Two issues: the wi fi doesn't always work and the lighting on the center stairway goes out when it is still dark in the morning, making it quite dangerous if you are not careful. Given the other choices in the area, staying here is a no brainer!

Meh.

Posted Nov 10, 2016 on Hotels
We were taken back by the fact that the bottles of shampoo and hand/ body lotion were used and half full. The television was a tube tv with a lousy picture (basic cable). Probably made in the 90's. When we arrived, it was dark and had to climb the stairs to the second level without lights. The lights must have been on a timer, because they came on an hour or so after dark. The room was clean. There was a VERY good breakfast across the street. Overall: Meh.

The room was clean and functional.

Posted Nov 3, 2016
Location: The location was the reason I stayed. It is a block off of US Route 136, and about 1/4 mile from Interstate 57 on the west side of Rantoul.
The room had a flat screen TV and a small coffee maker. It also had a refrigerator and a microwave, which I did not use. It was comfortable, but absolutely nothing to make you want to come back. The towels were small and shopworn, and the soap furnished was minuscule. The hotel featured continental breakfast, of which I participated with orange juice and coffee. The food was pre-packaged and all cold. I thought that even though the hotel was not too expensive, it was not a good value for the money. I would stay there again if necessary, but it would not be my first choice, and I would try to negotiate for a better rate.
