Not worth the price and the brand HolidayInn.

Not where you think it is- and it matters

This hotel says it is in Chandigarh. It is not. This is a common hotel trick but in this case it matters. Chandigarh is divided into numbered sector and if a taxi driver asks where you want to go they will ask which sector number you want to go to. So far so good. The problem is that the neighbouring town of panchkula is also divided into sectors with the same range of numbers. So if you arrive in Chandigarh and ask for a taxi to this hotel the driver will ask which sector and you will look at the address and say sector 3 not knowing that there are two sector 3s - one in Chandigarh and another in neighbouring panchkula. If you have picked up a taxi outside Chandigarh e.g at Kalka where the shimla trains terminate you and you taxi driver will be lost if you do not understand this subtlety. This is not the Holiday Inn Chandigarh it is the Holiday Inn Panchkula to advertise as anything else is a time wasting deception. Chandigarh Panchkula is not a place.

Horrible food quality in hotel in-house restaurant. Served really old stale food in the buffet. I got sick after having breakfast over there. Never going back...

Give it a miss

The hotel must have been great when it started but sadly that is now past. Cockroaches abound everywhere in the rooms, service was pathetic, breakfast spread was miniscule and finally, when we checked out at 6 am the lobby was without lights!

close to hills

Pros: only surroudings
Location: location is good
air conditioning smell so bad we found hard to stay and left hotel within one hr losing all our money.
