I took nearly 10 minutes to get someone to the counter to check me in. I wasn't there late, I arrived @ roughly 8:30pm. I had 4 pillows on my bed, all 4 smelled like someone's dirty head...so I used a towel for a pillow. I asked the front desk for at least ONE clean pillow, they never helped. The room itself was not clean. I expected a lot more for $110 a night, I've stayed at better Super-8s for half the cost.

I really enjoyed my stay at the AmericInn in Chanhassen. The area was clean, it was close to most of the places I went to, and the staff were all friendly and helpful. I would absolutely stay there again!

Check-in took quite some time as they only have 1 person working the front desk. Room definitely showed unfinished repairs. Half removed heating instruments, holes in the walls and unmatched paint from former light fixtures and the heater in the room sounded like it was going to break at any given moment. Refrigerator didn't work nor did the ice machine on the property. I will definitely not waste my money staying at this hotel again.

My room had no lock on the door or windows, on a ground level room. The man working check in did not ask to see any ID when checking me in which did not make me feel very safe. Overall not a great hotel, would highly recommend staying somewhere else.

There was a constant beeping in the lobby. The hot tub didn’t work. Only 1 of the four ice machines worked. A child who was with us just walked up to the desk and got a new key to one of our friends rooms. No questions asked. The tub floor in our room was “squishy”. 10/10 won’t stay again.

We were very disappointed that the fireplace in the sitting area was not functioning. This was a cold winter night and we had anticipated being able to sit in front of the fireplace to read for a while. Lobby area was not comfortably warm so this was very disappointing.

The rooms were clean but the hotel itself needed updating. There was never anyone at the front desk. The continental breakfast was skimpy.

Checked in at 1:35 am clerk was sleeping and didn’t talk good English !!! We unpack and try to take a shower , no hot water we called the front desk and again wake the clerk up ,took him thirty minutes to come up to the room, said he called the maintenance man , he never showed up! At 3:00 we gave up took cold showers , yeh that’s nice when it’s four degrees outside. 9:30 we getup and stillnohotwater , we go down to the desk and this one speaks even less English , sorry I’m done staying with foreign owned hotels.

Great family place to stay!!
We had such a great time at the Chanhassen AmericanInn. They were so accommodating and gave us a joining rooms with a suite. Our whole family was able to get together and relax. We had such a nice time swimming in the pool. The breakfast was great and everyone had an amazing time !!

Good value for the price.
We took a quick two-night stay just to get away. We had the jacuzzi room. Small but nice, updated, and comfortable. The phone in the room didn't work. And the bathroom was a little small and oddly shaped. Breakfast had a good selection and was continuously refilled. The building itself had a bit of an odd smell to it. The pool was warm and the hot tub although the Jets were weak was still nice. The pool room also had a bit of an odd smell, almost lake waterish.
