This hotel is in an old historic building that has been beautifully restored. It’s in a great location close to restaurants and shops. The staff is very accommodating and the hotel is well maintained.

What a lovely place! We had the most beautiful time in Chania staying at this charming family owned hotel. They were all so lovely and accomodating, and the breakfast is so lovely in their little courtyard. The area is so close to the main port, right in the heart of the old town. I will absolutely be staying here again.

Unique. Authentic. At end of narrow street. 2 of the rooms in newer building had stairs only. Be aware that you may have to carry luggage 2 flights. We did. Thought it worth it as we overlooked the narrow tiny street. Breakfast area charming.

Lovely B&B in good central location in the old town. Beautifully renovated with very comfortable rooms. Nice included breakfast in the courtyard. There are numerous good restaurants within a short walk. Parking is an issue so check carefully on where to park if you are driving.

Owners & staff where friendly, inviting and very helpful getting us settled and oriented in Chania and beyond. Their recommendation for activities and dining where spot on and they treated us like family. Would highly recommend this hotel if staying in Chania as it was perfectly situated in the old town Center with lots to do and see.

Lovely small hotel in old Chania Great location for exploring old Chania with comfortable, characterful room. We got a friendly welcome and we’re shown to good rooms with very comfortable beds. Breakfast outside in the small shady garden. Really pleased we stayed here. Has a lift too.

Great historic hotel in Chania
Ionas Boutique hotel is a beautifully restored Venetian home that is in a great historical location in old Chania. Bring your camera! Wonderful breakfast great hosts all around excellent.

Location is key to the hotel when you want to stay in hotel. Everything is walkable. More importantly, Claudia, was the best. So helpful and friendly, she really made the stay pleasant. Highly recommend this hotel.

Wonderful place to stay!
The Ionas hotel is beautiful!!!! Great location in Chania. The hotel is updated and very clean. Everybody that works there was very accommodating and helpful. I highly recommend staying here if you plan to visit Chania.

Living for seven nights to Ionas boutique hotel with my sister was amazing. The owners were so helpful and friendly that we feel like home. We never Sofiana advices were so specific and detailed so help us to do a perfect program for our vacation without difficulties. She informed us about transports, the best beaches restaurants and bars and where to buy specific things in good price.

From the moment we walked down the narrow street to entering this hotel we were transformed into another time. This hotel was amazing, such history here and the location was perfect.

Wonderful hotel!
We very much enjoyed our stay in this hotel. The attention to detail puts this small hotel into a different class. High quality, beautiful fixtures and fittings makes your stay feel special. I particularly loved the artisan staircase but there are so many interesting features to the building. The success of this family run business owes much to the friendly, and knowledgeable receptionist Maria. We arrived out with the normal check in time but were met at the hotel by Maria for whom nothing was too much trouble. 10 out of 10!

Picturesque Hotel in the Centre of Chania
From the outside this Hotel looks like a cute old Greek building, but the inside has been lovingly restored by the owners to include all the necessities to feel at home away from home. The rooms are beautiful with large beds, plenty of floor space and clean bathrooms. Wifi is fast and constant. Breakfast out in the courtyard under the shade of purple flowers is lovely. The owners and staff are lovely! They make you feel like family, as is the Greek way. They give wonderful recommendations of places to eat and see while you're in Chania. I would recommend this Hotel to everyone and I can't wait to return!

Beautiful hotel!!
We came to the Ionas hotel tired and dreary from travelling, but as soon as we step foot inside the Ionas hotel-that all washed away as we basked in this beautiful hotel. Tucked on a small side street, we were a few steps away from GREAT food, plenty of Crete culture and even a beach. Excellent stay. Highly recommend.

A gem in Chania
Wonderful little boutique hotel. The staff could not have been more helpful and it is easy walking to all of Chania. It may not be in a fashionable spot but I would recommend it to any friend. Delightful terrace and pretty patio for breakfast...... Just a lovely oasis on a hot Cretan day. We will be back!

Long happy vacation
All the staff were super helpful in booking future plans & handling unexpected changes in travel plans. Maria was as good as any professional travel agent we have work with. And Lea went out of her way to package up a little bite to eat for breakfast for an extremely early flight out of Chania. If I were to return to Chania I wouldn't hesitate in staying there again.

Made so much more comfortable when we were supplied with the kettle we requested, so that we could make a morning coffee as there were no breakfasts available during our stay. Otherwise excellent in every aspect!!!

Wonderful place to stay in the old town
This hotel was beautifully appointed- warm, clean and a welcome surprise for our visit to Chainia in February! We loved the location so close to everything in the old town!

the room first they gave to me is at the corner of ground floor. It is very small (definitely don't have 30-sq-meter which they write on the booking website) and no wifi signal at all. I ask to change the room. The old man at the reception desk rejected and denied all the problem the room had.the most rude hotel staff i ever meet! After while I contact Maria. She is very nice and I change the room to the first floor the second day. The room condition is much better while the AC still working load. I have to turn off the AC when I am sleeping.

Dear Guest, We like to have all our guest opinions because give us the oportunity to improve the services that we offer. Something that we do not like and we are strike about that is giving misleading Information either by us or be our guests. The day you arrived there were really bad weather contitions and that caused problems on our Internet connection. You asked us to change you room because the Internet was not working in your room and we informed you that this a problem because of the weather in the whole building and we also were fully booked, so other room available. You did not believe us so since we were not able to solve this problem at the same day we proposed you to help you find another hotel close by and fully refund from us. You did not accept that solution, so we offered you the alternative to upgrate you for Free the next day to a Junior Suite but informed that the Internet problem will not have been solved yet. Us we understand and from this review, your problem was that you were not happy with your room choice and internet problem was just an excuse. In our webpage and on hotels.com mentiones that there are different room types with different sizes and style Clearly. We would like to point out that there was a problem, we tried our best to assist you, in other ways since this could not be solved immediatly, but you were so nervus, did not listen to our proposals, shouting, causing problems to other guests, that no matter what we did you will still be unsatisfied.

Very overpriced, avoid ground floor!
This isn't a boutique hotel, more of an average guest house at hotel price. We booked the "discounted" ground floor room, which was a large mistake - the air con was so loud that we couldn't sleep, literally like a plane at take off, even with earplugs. There were lots of mozzies around in the bushes outside and no mosquito net. Outside played loud music from 11pm to 3pm, which made it even more impossible to sleep before our early flight. The room design was very odd, with no table/desk or opportunity to sit, and not even anywhere to hang our towels. We could barely move around as two slim ladies with small backpacks! When using the shower, we flooded the entire bathroom without a chance of draining (and we're used to open/Asian style bathrooms). The toilet was leaking water onto the floor when flushing, too. Check in was a bit odd, the hotel pressured us by email to tell them the exact time of our arrival, but when we arrived (exactly on time), nobody was there and we had to call them. The member of staff that arrived new nothing of our arrival and asked us to pay, even though we pre-paid. Still, the hotel is in a beautiful corner of the city within easy walk of the bus station and harbour, so I assume rooms upstairs are much better. The lady in charge was so kind to leave us a small breakfast in our room for our early departure, so I can see there seems to be a lot of foresight and attention to detail here, we just seemed to have been unlucky.

The best boutique hotel in Greece
My daughter and I stayed here for 4 nights. The hotel is tucked away in one of the charming alleys in Old Chania. Quiet and serene. We loved our stay. Maria, who works the front desk, is a beautiful soul where nothing is too much trouble. She is so welcoming and kind, you become instant friends. The room we had was on the ground floor with doors that opened out into a little courtyard for us to take our breakfast. Leah, who serves breakfast each morning is so friendly and easy to talk to. A beautiful soul. The breakfast menu is simple - Greek yoghurt, seasonal fruits, breads, meats and cheeses or bruschetta freshly made each morning. We so enjoyed our stay and highly recommend the Ionas.

Lovely hotel in quiet position close to everything
We had a good sized room with a balcony and a very comfortable bed. Breakfast was nice with the option of eating in a pleasant courtyard. Hotel management was very helpful and we enjoyed our 3 nights.

the hotel is kind of fine. but our room was on the ground floor with terrible air conditioner which was working loudly all the night. we could barely sleep with such noise

The Ionas was perfect in every way: great roof terrace, lovely breakfast taken in courtyard, comfortable beds, excellent shower and we even had our own mini-kitchen in the junior suite. Most of all the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, answering queries and helping to organise trips so we could make the most of our too short visit. Would definitely return here if I'm lucky enough to visit Chania again.

A Lovely Boutique Hotel with so much character!
We were absolutely delighted upon our arrival when we found this and the room was so nice! Victoria and Maria were so nice and helpful.

so pretty!
This is definitely the best looking hotel we saw in Chania. The staff were lovely and the room was amazing, the bed was huge! Every little detail in the room was really stylish, it looks even better in real life than the pictures. The breakfast was nice, the shower was hot and powerful, the minibar was cheap, the balconies are nice. Its in a great part of town, just a few minutes walk from the port and the old town but just far enough away to be quiet at night. I'd recommend the restaurant next door as well, the well of the Turk, really friendly and the best food we had there.

Best Hotel in Town
Before I even arrived at the hotel, they sent me a map how to get from the bus station to the hotel (only an 8 minute walk). I arrived and was greeted right away and taken up to my room, shown how to even work the A/C unit. In the morning I asked if there are any places they recommend with a nice view and delicious food/coffee. I got several recommendations and went exploring. Had breakfast at one of the locations and it was delicious just like the hotel personal said. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL. Will def be staying here again next time I decide to come to Chania. Thank you for a wonderful stay in your city. :)

Beautiful hotel in the middle of the old town
Had a very lovely 6 nights . Was made to feel very welcome. As a single traveler I was worried I might not find the hotel as I was coming by bus from airport. They sent me a great map and I found it easily. Hotel felt very luxurious ,bedding was lovely and soft , amazing shower, and the room was very clean. Staff were very helpful . Great location in one of the many alleyways of Venetian buildings. Weather was great too making it a wonderful trip.

A wonderful stay
We arrived at the hotel and were greeted by Maria who was very friendly and helpful. We were lucky enough to get a free upgrade from a standard room and the room we were given was very nice and comfortable. One of the nicest places I've ever stayed in fact. The hotel is in a great location. A nice quiet spot in the Old Town, a short walk from the bars and restaurants of the harbour area. I'd have no hesitation in booking here again if I come back to the area.
