Dear Mrs. Christiana, Thank you very much for taking the time to review us. Firstly, we would like to notice that the title of the room type that you booked is Economy Room (Basement). Regardless the mentioned paragraph, the title of room type have clearly notice that the room located in the basement. Moreover, the room is not located under the ground as there are 3 more floors above it. Your reservation was made under the non refundable cancellation policy which means that the total cost of the reservation will be charged at the time of booking and it is non refundable, so any refund is not acceptable. Three days after your arrival date, two rooms were available to our sister hotel 200 meters away from our hotel. We had provided to you a higher room category free of charge and the manager of our hotel moved you and your luggage by her owned car. In conclusion, the title of the room is cleared about the location, the relocation and the room upgrade to our sister hotel was made under our own initiative and totally free of charge and no under any blackmail regarding the police as mentioned. We are really sorry about the inconvenience caused to you despite all the compensations given to you and accepted by you. As far as the beach of Agia Marina, it is an awarded beach of “Blue Flag” for consecutive years. The quality of the water is checked regularly by the Greek Authorities, so the levels of cleanliness and quality are guaranteed. Also, since our Hotel is a Beach Hotel, all beach services are located in the beach area (including the renting of beach towels with a deposit of 10€ per towel). As far as the major technical problem with the electricity, that the hotel unexpectedly faced and caused inconvenience to all of our guests, we would like to apologize once again. From our side we reacted rapidly and within few hours the problem was solved. Members of your family did check with us the severity and the size of the problem, and our main priorities were to solve the problem. Regarding our concept, Santa Marina Plaza is clearly an adult’s only hotel, over 16 years old. Also, we have adopted the program of greek breakfast and we are certificated by a local network, initializing cooperations with local producers and introducing local products to our every day menus. Our variety in the breakfast contain nine hot dishes, all the typical choices of an american breakfats, customized preparations which are made in front of the guests , fresh fruits and fresh fruit salads, freshly squeezed orange juice, plus the traditional Buffet with Cretan products and preparations. Nevertheless, we are committed to work hard in order to provide our best services to all of our guests and we will remain like that. Best Regards The management
