Labor Day Weekend Vacation

Arrived on Friday night. No problem locating the hotel and parking was plentiful and lit well. Back entrance closed to secure the lot. Security person was in his vehicle watching the parking lot. Check in went smoothly and room was customer ready. Room was very clean, beds were tightly made, bathrooms were also very clean. 5 pillows on each bed for personal choice and comfort.
Breakfast was a step above continental breakfast. It was light, but did offer scrambled eggs and sausage in hot plates. Made you own waffles that were Texas shaped.
The biggest disappointment was the fact that the pool was green and out order. We were in room 321 and my sister's family in room 308 were not happy about this, since we wanted to relax in the pool after busy days out. (My sister arrived on Saturday.) We wanted to ask for a partial refund due to this, but let it go. Maybe management will read and respond to the request. We could not change hotels, since the pre-pay was non- cancel and non-refundable. I would not usually complain about this, but it was a holiday weekend and this was neglect on the maintenance and hotel management's responsibilities.
I also needed to mention that the GFCI outlets were out in the bathroom, but the front desk did offer to fix. The time was not convenient, since maintenance won't come in to the room with guest in the room. I understand this, so were okay with it, but this should be fixed for the next guest. Front desk very cordial and empathetic
