Horrible service

Posted Dec 19, 2016
Kept complaining 5 times about neighbors slamming the doors and running on the hallways late at night for 2 consecutive nights and nothing was done about it. They do not have a manager on site. I was just given a business card to call and see if he is in during the day. Employees at the front desk looked like high school kids and did not know what to do. Housekeeping would come to clean at 8am and if you told them to come back later your room would not get cleaned. One housekeeper even asked me why i was checking out so late (check out time is 12) and i was leaving at 11:30am. She said that screwed up with her cleaning schedule. I didn't know that at this hotel I had to pay and be on schedule with the staff and must accomodate them????. I was so upheld that i decided to change hotels. I moved to the Holiday Inn and it was cheaper and better quality and service. They lost 10 more days of business from me. The price they charge does not equate to the service they provide. They should be charging $50 per night and be switched to 1 star hotel. Would not recommend it at all.

Business Hotel in Channelview

Posted Dec 8, 2016
Unfortunately I have several issues with my stay for only one night at this hotel: - Noise room. The hotel is next to highway I-10, and at third floor you could heard a lot of noise. - A/C window unit did not work. - Everyone of the three towels at the room were not in a clean condition.

Labor Day Weekend Vacation

Posted Sep 5, 2016
Pros: Easy to find. Regular 2 queen bed room had plenty of space. Security watched evening parking lot. Mini-fridge and microwave were nice to have.
Cons: Get pool customer ready. Repair ice maker on 3rd floor. Repair GFCI outlets in bathroom in room 321.
Location: NASA, Kemah Boardwalk, Battleship Texas within a 1/2 hour ride. Multiple fast food chain locations within walking distance.
Arrived on Friday night. No problem locating the hotel and parking was plentiful and lit well. Back entrance closed to secure the lot. Security person was in his vehicle watching the parking lot. Check in went smoothly and room was customer ready. Room was very clean, beds were tightly made, bathrooms were also very clean. 5 pillows on each bed for personal choice and comfort. Breakfast was a step above continental breakfast. It was light, but did offer scrambled eggs and sausage in hot plates. Made you own waffles that were Texas shaped. The biggest disappointment was the fact that the pool was green and out order. We were in room 321 and my sister's family in room 308 were not happy about this, since we wanted to relax in the pool after busy days out. (My sister arrived on Saturday.) We wanted to ask for a partial refund due to this, but let it go. Maybe management will read and respond to the request. We could not change hotels, since the pre-pay was non- cancel and non-refundable. I would not usually complain about this, but it was a holiday weekend and this was neglect on the maintenance and hotel management's responsibilities. I also needed to mention that the GFCI outlets were out in the bathroom, but the front desk did offer to fix. The time was not convenient, since maintenance won't come in to the room with guest in the room. I understand this, so were okay with it, but this should be fixed for the next guest. Front desk very cordial and empathetic

Not handicapped as requested.

Posted Apr 11, 2016
Pros: Easy to find, nice appearance, nice lobby, continental breakfast was all right, but sausage was way too greasy to be edible.
Cons: Management should be aware of what constitutes "handicapped room" really means and have more than one accommodation for their site.
Location: N/A
We were told we were in a handicapped room. However, there was no bar located close enough to the commode for my husband (78 and handicapped) to rise.. He was unable to get up from the commode and I had to assist. Not a problem for me, but if I am told it was a handicapped room, then it should be serviceable. Also, I had specifically asked for a tub bench for my husband to use in getting into/out of the tub. There was no tub bench for his use. When asked why they did not provide one as requested, I was told that if I had decided to stay another day, they would not have been able to have another tub bench available for another handicapped guest since we would have been using it. This did not make sense to me. I told them I hoped they never had an opportunity arise that would send them two handicapped individuals for the same night. How would they be able to accommodate both guests if they did not have enough tub benches available to each handicapped guest! As a normal motel room, it was nice and if we had not needed a handicapped room it would have been acceptable. Don't appreciate being lied to by staff or management.

Well managed and clean

Posted Oct 7, 2015
This hotel is well managed and clean in a good location for my business out on I-10. It seems like good value to me versus Holiday Inn Express, etc.
