the location was convenient and the room was lovely. beds were comfortable and it was quiet. The staff was unfriendly and not at all helpful. the breakfast which was standard fare offered free in most hotels was charging $9 per person.

Great hotel, very comfortable

We really enjoyed our stay. Very convenient location for travelers who need a break just east of downtown Houston on Hwy 10. The hotel is a diamond in the rough; once you step foot inside this elegant hotel you quickly forget about the neighborhood. Parking was secure, and the staff is very welcoming. Bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was upscale. The restaurant is nice and the food was good. No complaints.

Nice place in a bad area.

The young woman at the front desk at check in was rude and unfriendly. Appeared to be put out that we used Hotels.com to book our room. We came a night early, that also seemed to put her out. The man the next day at the desk was nice however. The extra night ended up costing us, 2 people, 147.00. WAY TOO expensive for this nasty area of town. We would not have been there unless absolutely necessary. The clientele was noisy, lots of kids during our stay, running the halls etc. The pool is small, kids way too wild to even swim or relax in the hot tub. Food at hotel is limited and expensive. But it is the closest decent place to eat. The hotel itself is very nice and upscale, doesn't fit the area at all but it gives you a sense of security while there.
