Charming!Posted Aug 3, 2015
The Inn is so charming, setting is lovely. All the staff were very accommodating. We loved the piano player in the bar area and sitting out in the garden with a glass of wine. Very easy drive to lots of great attractions in the area. Great weekend getaway. Only tip if you're staying in the summer is to request a room in the newer wing as the AC is better there!

Nice but needs upgradingPosted Jul 26, 2015
Pros: Staff, location, historic interest
Cons: Climate control. Offer a full real breakfast buffet instead of the very minimal continental breakfast, which didn't have muffins or croissants.
Location: Nice location.
The staff was very pleasant and accommodating. The room had a beautiful view and was clean. However, the wall air conditioner in the room had issues and I stayed there on a almost 90 degree day. I was warned by staff not to turn the A/C on high, which I DID NOT. Twice in the middle of the night, the A/C made a very loud noise as if the fan stop, a screeching horrible noise. I had to get up and turn the fan level all the way down wait a few minutes then turn it back up. Not a good night's sleep. The shower area in the bath needs to be redone. Very nice size closet but no interior light to see anything?

Convenient to our childrenPosted Jun 10, 2015
Pros: Food in bar was delicious, and continental breakfast was lovely.
Cons: Room very dark; old towels; shower controls difficult to manage; outlet in bathroom was opposite the mirror making hair drying hard. Harsh toilet pape
We were very disappointed in the quality of this hotel.

West Point GraduationPosted May 25, 2015
Pros: Great setting.
Cons: Eliminate or cover the junky area next to the entry to the rooms on the wing to the left of the facility (rooms 1A-1D)
Location: The location was very picturesque. We were there to go to a graduation at West Point and did not look for any other activities near by.
Overall nice experience. We enjoyed the outdoor space and the bar/restaurant.

Thumbs upPosted May 9, 2015 on Hotels
Great restaurant and bar. Very large rooms. Older style rooms are quaint. Higher technology would be nice but it is a historical site so technology takes second place. One of the most amazing wine list selection in the area. We will come back for another stay for sure.

poor customer servicePosted May 4, 2015 on Hotels
It was unfortunate that this pretty expensive Inn had such disappointing service (not only in the restaurant, but also the general treatment as a guest). Not to mention, the room we were in was loud, you could hear the front desk phone ringing, and all the people at the bottom of the stairs. Wouldn't recommend this place to anyone who, unless you're a yuppie or a person who likes to spend money w/out quality in return.

Suburban Bed and Breakfast.Posted Apr 21, 2015 on Hotels
This is a nice place to stay in the area. The innkeeper is very warm and welcoming. The room was warm, clean and light. It is more of retreat hotel than one for work. The desk work area is very small and not a lot of working outlets. The restaurant is excellent.

Old school inn with charmPosted Apr 21, 2015 on Hotels
If you're looking for a quick stay with a good restaurant below this is a good option. Very old school. Room was huge but bathroom was dated. Had everything I needed for a one night stay.
