Dated but clean hotel with very basic facilities

The hotel is a walking distance from Charleroi-Sud therefore an excellent location if visiting by train.My room are very clean but the facilities were below average, the fridge was not plugged in, the room was not air conditioned so one had to make do with a fan, no toiletries supplied except loo roll and a fixed soap dispenser. The Breakfast experience was awful, unwelcoming eating area and a very limited menu, I ended settling for just a croissant and some fruit juice. The staff were very pleasant but I cannot recommend the hotel as the decor dated and facilities are basic and close to hostel standard.

Hotel not too bad

Cons: For restaurant: Realise the customer is paying and deserves reasonable service.
Hotel was good. Hotel Reception excellent. Food in Restaurant was good. Restaurant Manager (assumed) was good. Temporary Restaurant Manager (assumed; on manager evening off) was not interested in the patrons only his friends.

Solo overnight trip

The hotel is in a perfect central location max. 10 min. walk to the main train and bus station that connects to Charleroi airport etc. The hotel is 2 mins. walk from the main shopping area where there are places to eat. On Sunday morning you are a 5-7 min. walk from the bustling markets which are well worth a visit. The staff are very friendly, polite and helpful and don't make any fuss. The room, for the price (€50) is very good. No complaints at all. Only real improvement would be a slightly bigger TV with better reception (many of the stations were of poor picture quality). I have stayed at this hotel before and will definitely come back for my next visit.

Much better than last year because we all actually had beds which did not break! I was bitterly disappointed last year, when we arrived to a 3 person room to find only 2 unbroken beds and there were no spare beds left and 1 child had to sleep on the floor and I was promised a refund, that the hotel initially denied I'd complained, then admitted I had complained but chose deliberately not to record the complaint, furthermore that the promised refund was never honoured. I got given 10 euro towards a further stay. This year, beds which worked!!!!! That is all I wished for.

worst hotel ever

stayed in this hotel as part of 6 night stay in Belgium at the new year period ..this hotel although central is in need of a complete referb ,the bedding was well worn ,,the rooms not that good .bath full of mould etc .and the best bit was it was full of asylum seekers that was very very intimidateing. do not book this hotel at any cost.
