Super hotel and great staff, but room 101 is next to the elevator motor room and therefore very noisy at times. The 6.00 am road cleaning can also be quite disturbing!!

Beautiful, comfortable inn

Posted May 19, 2017
Beautiful room and inn. Felt comfortable and very clean. Only downside was no safe in the room; had to get a safe deposit box to store valuables at the check-in

Regular stop on the north-south commute

Posted May 5, 2017
Cons: some rooms more subject to noise than others
Location: great central location--lots of restaurants, night life, the Market, carriage rides....
We stay at the Pinckney Inn 1-2 times a year, and thoroughly enjoy ourselves each time. It is a lovely spot, centrally located, with valet parking, a grand upper deck patio, a happy hour, and attractive continental breakfast. Every once in a while, it is possible to get a room that gets a little too much noise, but on the whole, it is one of our favorite spots. And excellent staff to boot!

Why don't you have a Restaurant in Hotel, no fridge in room or coffee maker, no restaurant no Room service. I did not know this when I booked. Disappointing.

Most of those are because we are an historic property with limited service. So, no restaurant, but a fresh breakfast brought in each morning and a wine and cheese each afternoon. No coffee, but available in the lobby 24/7. Sorry that you did not understand what you were booking and we hope you enjoyed your time in Charleston.

Great boutique hotel in the middle of historic Cha

Posted Mar 20, 2017
Pros: Friendly valet, nightly wine and cheese, easy walking access to the historic parts of Charleston.
Cons: The kids thought the sofa bed was a little uncomfortable.
Spent two days here with a family of 4 (kids 11 and 13) in one of the townhome units. It was great having some seperation (two levels) between us and the kids.

Nice B & B in the heart of downtown Charleston

Posted Mar 7, 2017
Location: Right in the center of town
Charming Bed & Breakfast in the center of downtown Charleston. Good location, nice rooms, nice staff. could use a little updating. The breakfast that was included was nice but could be a little homier, there is only an outdoor space to enjoy it which is tough when it is chilly out. You can take your food to a sitting area on another floor but that is not convenient.

In the heart of Charleston

Posted Feb 24, 2017 on Orbitz
Pros: The roof top terrace was lovely.
Cons: The staff was not rude but not necessarily friendly or engaging.
Location: It is a short walk to the harbor, city market, restaurants etc.....
The bed, sheets, towels were high quality. The lobby/check in is across the street from the hotel rooms. If you want hot water/coffee you have to go there to get it.

So happy to hear that you enjoyed the terrace! With the historic nature of our property as you saw, there are some quirks such as being located in two different buildings. This does lend to some confusion, for guests, but also adds to the charm. Thank you again and do come back soon.

This is one of the most charming places I've ever stayed at. Perfect location to carriage tours and popular restaurants in historic Charleston. LOVED it and will definitely be back!

"Awesome"

Posted Feb 20, 2017 on Hotels
The hotel is in an ideal situation within walking distance from all the main tourist attractions. Great seafood restaurant just around the corner. My two sons (both in their mid-20's) would rate it as "awesome" as they found it perfectly situated for their night-life

Perfect

This was a perfect stay. The bed and pillows were the most comfortable and cozy of any I've ever had in a hotel or B&B. We could not have asked for anything to be any better.
