great hotel vs. price we paid.

Pros: ease of access to all the places of interest
Cons: longer roof top hours at the bar/social area
Location: close to Charleston marina and only 2 miles to the downtown district. We had the advantage of a quiet place outside the action and noise of downtown
The hotel was very neat and clean. We enjoyed the proximity to the historic downtown.

Close to downtown (about a mile and a half)

Cons: Longer bar and restaurant hours
Location: Very close to downtown
Very friendly staff. Stayed with my husband for our anniversary and the front desk upgraded us to a better view.

Good experiences and friendly staff! Hotel accommodations were good except there wasn't a microwave in the room.

Great room not so much for the bathroom

Nice place to stay. Rooms are nice, bathroom was good the shower was in poor condition dis colored grout tile was in poor condition. For the price we would have expected a better quality.

Charleston Hotel

Older hotel but kept up nicely. The staff was friendly and informative. A little further away from downtown then I would've like but shuttle and Carta right out the door. Rooms were clean. Had breakfast twice in the restaurant and enjoyed both meals. Again the staff and chef were exceptional. Would definitely recommend to others.

Great hotel

We felt that the hotel was great all around. There is quite a bit of construction going on in the area, but, it is an expanding metropolitan area. The construction noise began around 8/830 and lasted til around 6. But we weren't there to sit in our room undisturbed all day. Quick access to Folly Beach (20 mins with heavier beach traffic)...the highway on-ramp to Folly is only a few blocks away. Quick access to historic downtown. I think it took us maybe 10 minutes to get parked on King St. at 6 pm on a Thursday. Hotel staff were awesome and super accommodating. A big thank you to Danny and Andrea at the front desk. We really enjoyed our stay and will consider them a top option when returning.

Enjoyed our stay and would return...

Stayed here for three nights for a "girls trip". The staff were all very friendly, especially the guy at the front desk who checked us in. He gave us all sorts of tips on places to eat and things to see in Charleston as it was our first time visiting. We stayed on the concierge floor and the attendants in the lounge were also very nice. We had an issue with the air conditioning in our room not working so I called to report it and an engineer showed up within 10 minutes. They couldn't fix the problem right away, so we had to change rooms but we only went a few doors down the hall so it was a minor inconvenience. The area directly around the hotel isn't the most appealing, but there is a partial water view. We especially enjoyed the Aqua rooftop terrace bar with the comfortable chairs and fire pits at night. We had a rental car and parking was free, which was nice since hotels often charge a small fortune for parking. Overall, we had a good stay and would stay here again.

Exceeded my expectations!

Our son graduated from the Citadel on 5/7/16.This hotel was very conveniently located close by so we did not have alot of travel time between school events. The room was spacious and had all the amenities we needed.The hotel was spotless and the staff was friendly and willing to help. Even though this is one of the more expensive hotels in Charleston, I would stay here again if I needed to be in that area again.

Very enjoyable. The shuttle into Historic Charleston was a great asset. It made our trip So much easier and a worry free experience. The drivers were excellent.
