Great hotel close to downtown charelston

Pros: Friendliness of staff, and cleanliness of the hotel.
Cons: Nothing
Location: Close to downtown charelston , folly beach, great restaurants , and all the plantations, and firefly winery /distillery.
The staff and hotel were great, they all were friendly and outgoing. Very knowledgeable of the area and must do or see, and the restaurant in the area. the rooms were very clean and comfortable . The hotel is within 10 minutes of downtown charelston and half hour to folly beach, and other great attractions that charelston has to offer.

Courtyard Marriott

Cons: Clean the mildew in the shower
We had an early appointment and breakfast was late. We had complimentary breakfast on our rate and we were charged for breakfast. When I called the accounting department wanted me to send the Expedia email to get the free breakfast. For the price we paid we will not stay here again.

Nice hotel by the waterfront.....comfortable

Pros: Easy and comfortable. Outdoor eating for breakfast was enjoyable.
Cons: Air conditioner was a bit loud.
Location: Downtown historical district, walking on waterfront, swimming

Great view

Can't beat the harbor and location. Great staff, amenities and comfortable bed. Daily cleaning could have been better.

Farther Out Than I Wanted

Hotel is 1.5 miles from historic Charleston, sandwiched between pretty river and busy highway. No bellmen, so you schlep your own luggage. Must drive or ride to get downtown, but hotel has a shuttle (yay!). Nice pool and overlooking balcony. Not the easiest walking neighborhood, though there is a park past the Ashley River bridge. It took me two days to find it.

Rip Out That Air Conditioning!

Cons: AIR CONDITIONING and bathrooms.
Location: Under 5 minutes from downtown which is great. Also local to bridges which take you to sightseeing outside of city.
In general this is a good hotel for many reasons such as location. Bathrooms could use updating. However, I would not return here for one reason, and that is the air conditioning. The units point directly at the bed which means you are being bombarded by the flow of air. The units constantly turn on and off, first a fan, then what sounds like a compressor 2 minutes later. After a while they go off only to go back on again 30 seconds later. It is intolerable. I questioned other guest and they had the same experience. I am sure I am not the first person to complain about this. With new competition right next door I am sure hotel would want to correct this as soon as possible.

Small rooms !

Cons: ROOM SIZE ! TOO SMALL ,
Nice hotel but we have stayed at hotels a lot less expensive that were a lot nicer room wise ! Outside area was nice !

Clean hotel, central location

Pros: Waterfront View and cleanliness
Cons: Need thicker walls in between rooms. Could hear the people next door and above. Dine in
Location: Close to downtown and Folly Beach
It was a nice stay other than the 30 minutes I had to wait due to damages from a previous customer who stayed in the room. Staff was nice and the environment was pleasant. Waterfront view is a must when booking a room. Walls are kind of thin so hope for quiet neighbors.

Fabulous stay

The room was clean and the bed was amazing and the view was spectacular and the staff was very nice and helpful!! When we come back to the area we will definitely use this facility again!!
