The Perfect Place to Stay

Posted Jan 11, 2017
Pros: Staff and location
Cons: The breakfast buffet...just skip it and go to Another Broken Egg Cafe
This hotel is in the perfect location, priced reasonably, with wonderful accommodations and staff!

Great Hotel in Perfect Location

Posted Jan 9, 2017
Pros: The location.
At check in we were greeted with warm cookies and cider. My brother-in-law mentioned that it was my birthday at which point the nice gentleman at the desk upgraded my room and gave everyone in my group a complimentary breakfast for the next morning. The entire staff was friendly throughout our stay. The property is in the perfect location right off of the market in downtown Charleston. You can walk to more restaurants than I can name, shopping, art galleries, and the water front.

Wonderful location

Good place. Great location. Room was very small. The only problem we had was the sound of the elevator. We could hear it clearly, but it did not keep us up at night.

convenient location

Posted Nov 21, 2016
Pros: Location is central and front desk and valets very nice
Cons: New bedroom furniture and carpets. Cleaning staff need to be educated on courtesy of stop vacuuming while you are walking by.
Location: Location was great for the market, restaurants and carriage rides.
Great central location. I understand the hotel is in historic area but rooms could be updated

Great location, close to everything in downtown

Posted Nov 21, 2016
Pros: Location
Cons: There was an unpleasant smell in the lobbies and hallways.
Location: Everything historic and Charleston is nearby!
Great location, within walking distance of everything downtown. Room was clean and comfortable, although two level rooms are better suited for younger, spry guests--steps upstairs are very steep and narrow. Bathroom very small, especially with 4 people in the suite, but manageable. All in all, very nice experience.

Delightful Part of a Wonderful Vacation

Posted Nov 10, 2016
Pros: 1 - This hotel was just a couple of minutes away from Charleston's Market. 2 - The hotel had beautiful flower arrangements!!!!!
Cons: We wish we could have stayed longer.
Location: Shopping, restaurants, and carriage tours were close. One of the carriage tours had a ramp so I was able to get into the carriage.
From the minute we parked, we realized we would like this hotel. We were assisted by BJ, a friendly and helpful bellman. Once inside, I was excited to find a large ramp that led to the lobby. I use a motorized wheelchair so was ecstatic to be able to roll all the way from the car to our room.

You cannot beat the location!

Posted Nov 8, 2016
Pros: We had a girl's weekend reunion. Our suite was perfect. The entire staff exemplified the true meaning of Southern Hospitality. They were all amazing!
Cons: We wished they had an inhouse restaurant or a full bar, but there are plenty locally. They do have a small bar available through Saturday evening and the bartender was very wonderful. They do offer a buffet breakfast.
Location: We were so close to The Market and Carriage Rdes- which are a must do! Everything is walking distance too. Tired? Bicycle cabs are right out your door

Bath room facilities.

Posted Oct 18, 2016
Pros: We were in town to tour homes and gardens for several days and this hotel was smack dead in the middle of where we wanted to be.
Cons: It would have been nicer if the hotel offered breakfasts for the price of the rooms.
Location: Lots of things to see and do. Easy transportation to anywhere.
Our room was a townhouse configuration and the one bath was up stairs. The two sinkis worked out great.
