Nice, clean hotel. Within walking distance to civic center for the concert we attended. Yummy breakfast!

We had a great stay there....room service was exceptional. Great breakfast and helpful staff. We were unaware however that we had to pay extra for parking and when we stepped into our room we could smell that others had been smoking prior to us.coming. For those reasons we did not give 5/5.

Beautiful Hotel

Location: Outback, JC Penney and the River Front along the Kanawha River were all good. Only a 10 minute walk through downtown.
I came down for a Reunion and was amazed by the beauty of this hotel. There probably should be a disclaimer saying that the pull in is on Washington St instead of Court St where the GPS takes you. The parking is actually located in a parking garage behind it which should also be in a disclaimer, but otherwise I loved where it was located and being able to walk to nearby areas including the River Front. The hotel breakfast was really good and I had never seen a hotel that provided a chef for breakfast. The bar and small casino were also entertaining.

Nice hotel except for the parking. It is very difficult to park a truck and trailer in a parking garage. It's also a good idea to have garage security. When you have to pay an additional 13.00 each day to park at the hotel that you have already paid a for, you shouldn't have to be so concerned about your vehicle. Two of the three nights I stayed, I had to make several trips to my vehicle just so the homeless folks hanging around my truck and trailer would move on. Not a very savory neighborhood a few blocks away.

Nice hotel in a not so nice town- no offense

Not that you see a lot of the town when you are in such a massive hotel... breakfast was great except the lines and wait was too long. I think they need more areas to grab food. The hotel Itself is a typical Embassy Suites so you get what you pay for and expect. The lobby is beautiful but as I said the lines for food and drink were a bit too long - they were very busy. The pool area could be kept better- it's super slippery and my two year old fell. That said it's a indoor pool and kinda expected. anyway beds are comfy. One thing that really grated on my nerves is that we went out for the day and came back to the same messy room at 4pm. They said they were getting the empty rooms ready first. That's all well and good but hire more staff then bc as current guests we expected our room to be put back together when we returned. Instead we had to call and ask them to do it and awkwardly be there with the housekeeper asking us what we wanted done. Like if we wanted the beds remade and new towels...um duh. Anyway it was fine just a hefty price.

Very pretty hotel

Check-in was easy and fast. Beautiful room. The pool and hit rub were wonderful and stayed open late. Excellent breakfast and the staff were friendly and helpful.

Ok hotel. Below Embassy standards

Place was ok. Room was not overall clean which was suprising as the hotel was 1/4 full. Pool area was gross

Room smelled like a smoking room but could have been something else. It wasn't bad enough to bother me but you could smell something.
